If you're an Anne Murray fan, as I am, you're sure to love this CD. It truly exceeds my expectations. When I read the description, I thought it sounded really good, but Wow!! It is much better than just "good". It has to be one of THE BEST collections of beautiful music all in one place that I've ever heard!!!! The ladies Anne selected to sing with her here are awesome! I have several favorites--too many to name them all. I MUST, however, mention the duets with her daughter (Dawn Langstroth), with Celine Dion, and with the French Canadian singer Isabelle Boulay (in French). It doesn't get any better than that!!!! This latest issue by Anne Murray is absolutely terrific. Her hits, sung new with some unusual partners, is fresh and fun. My favorite is the song sung with her daughter Dawn, but each is unique in it's own way. Some recent "duets" projects by other artists use original recordings with new partners tracks, or are duets from old albums or shows: this one has Anne singing all new recordings. Some of the pairings are truly genius, and the song with the late, great Dusty Springfield is incredible! I have seen Anne in concert 3 times in recent years and her voice and style are still moving and powerful. This CD is really a must have!Free Music Review: A Masterpiece

This album was released in Canada in November, 2007. It's been selling quite well here. 'Croonin' has been my favorite Murray album since it's release, but this one has knocked it down a notch. I'm not sure who choses duet partners (if it's the artist or the label) but regardless, they've made a great choice here from the late Dusty Springfield to Shania Twain to Martina McBride etc etc. The greatest contrast is 'You Needed Me' with Shania. I believe this is Anne's 35th album and it's truly a great one. Some nice one on one liner notes with k d lang conspicuously absent. This disc sounds better every time you listen to it. I was looking for a song which came back to my mind one day, from many years ago, but couldn't remember who sang it. A friend suggested Anne Murray and when I looked her up, there was the track on the "Duets" album! The track is, "Could I Have This Dance?" I played the sample and my young partner, Carlos, heard it. His comment was, "That's the most beautiful song I've ever heard!" So I ordered the CD and we're very happy with it. There are many tracks on this CD which are beautifully rendered by Anne Murray and her respective duo partners. Nothing could be better than hearing Anne Murray sing...except when she's singing with these 17 incredibly talented women!! My two favorites are "Nobody Loves Me Like You Do" (duet with her daughter!) and "When I Fall in Love (Live)" with Celine Dion. I got chills listening to both. I bought this for my husband's birthday (since the only time I hear him sing is to one of Anne's CDs!)....and we listened to it twice in one sitting, eyes closed, just listening to the great voices! She still has it--her voice is as clear as it was in the 1970s when we first heard her!
