Free Music Notes for Annie Get Your Gun (1999 Broadway Revival Cast)Free Music Review: Sweetly Sung Hit: 5 Stars
I haven't yet been able to listen to this CD, but I was lucky enough to see the show. I think the music was outstanding. Bernadette Peters is amazing. As she sweetly sings out "Moonshine Lullaby" and "I Got Lost In His Arms," you can't help but to fall in love with her. I'm sure that hearing the songs on the CD will have he same effect as seeing the show, so I highly recommend it.
Free Music Review: I love it!!! Hit: 5 Stars
This sountrack is awesome. Although, I have not actually listened to the CD yet, I saw the show, and thought it was the best thing I had ever seen! Bernadette Peters is so much better than Ethal Merman, it will blow you away. Everything is new and improved on this new recording. From the singers to the length of the note in "Anything You Can Do". Do yourself a favor and buy this CD!
Free Music Review: Don't Judge a Book by it's Cover Hit: 5 Stars
This is in response to all the bad reviews. The current revival of Annie Get your Gun is truly a feat for Ms. Peters. She sounds great in the show and on this recording. There is no way to compare her to Ethel Merman. They are two completely different people. See the show and you will see why she won a Tony Award. From someone who knows this show and this production well, give it a shot.
Free Music Review: Peters beats Merman any day Hit: 5 Stars
I haven't yet been able to listen to the recent CD yet, but I did see the show and can honestly say that Peter's sweet approach to Annie beats Merman's "Mac Truck" approach any day. Peters sweetly sings the songs and even adds slight personal touches that make them even more special. Peters made me fall in love with the show so much I can't wait to go back.
Free Music Review: Bernadette's Best Hit: 5 Stars
Bernadette Peters serves up a vocal preformance unparraleled by any of her other albums. Above "Sunday in the Park." Surpassing "Into the Woods" Tom Wopat wasted to many years on "Dukes of Hazzard" and has a brilliant voice. His No Buisness. Is perfect. The Anything you can do duet is breathtaking. A must hear for the holidays!
