Free Music Review: The DIVA Stikes Again!
Hit: 5 Stars

I personally believe Annie Lennox can do no wrong. With that said, it does make me sad that the wait between projects from her is so long.
But this album is well worth the wait. Being able to preorder on this site is a blessing. And this album is an amazing work of art. From the power of "Dark Road" to the desperate longing of "Fingernail Moon", there is not a bad track in the mix.
Her new signature song "Sing" (which was influenced by the please of Nelson Mandela to be aware of the AIDS pandemic) brought together over twenty of the top female recording artists. Singing about solidarity and that no matter who tries to bring you down, you can win.
It's truly Annie's world, and we just live in it!

Free Music Review: Annies mass destruction is the BOMB. let it blow you away.
Hit: 5 Stars

After a year of very poor cd releases....some of them, joni Mitchells Shine, Tori Amos Doll posse, just to name two, along comes Annie Lennox, WOW. i am so inpressed. this cd i think is one of her best. i didnt care for Bare too much, was very depressing, hated the cover. But with mass, she holds nothing back. songs like dark road, ghosts in my machine, womenkind, , her voice never sounded so good. i love the very eurythmics coloured bedspread, outstanding. I couldnt say enough good things about this cd. One of the best releases of the year. So all you other female artist out there...take heed. theres a new diva in town. And she is gonna blow you away. thanks Annie. your the best.

Free Music Review: The Best Album of Annie's Solo Career
Hit: 5 Stars

This is Annie's finest solo album to date - eleven killer tracks that showcase the range of her songwriting and voice. Annie delivers the goods and then some. Listen to her stretch her bluesy voice on "Love Is Blind" and "Ghosts In My Machine" and you'll wonder why she didn't try this kind of stuff sooner. This album is packed full of hits you'll never hear on the radio, but won't regret buying. Also featured here is the charity song "Sing" featuring Madonna and a host of other female stars, all joining their voices to to bring attention to the African AIDS genocide. "Songs of Mass Destruction" showcases an artist at her absolute peak and does not disappoint.

Free Music Review: Her best solo album so far, possibly her best ever
Hit: 5 Stars

An amazing album. The opening track "Fingernail Moon" blew me away the first time I heard it and every time since. The arrangements on this album are astounding with layers of Annie's voice weaving textures around the lyrics. BTW, the lyrics was a weak point in her first solo efforts ("Diva" comes to mind) but here they shine with phrases that stick to your mind -- like the title of the track "Ghosts In My Machine" or the throwaway line "this is the sound of of a baby's first breath" in "Lost" or even "I wish I had a lover that could turn this water into wine" from "Womankind". This together with musical hooks makes it very seductive.

Free Music Review: Like fine wine she gets better with age.
Hit: 5 Stars

I grew to love Annie Lennox only a few years ago but have been reluctant to actually buy her CD's fearing maybe I would only like one or two of the tracks. Clearly the risk and gamble I took with Songs of Mass Destruction paid off. Each song is special, unique to only Ms Lennox, mixed with meaningful lyrics and soulful spirit. I'm actually short for words for once in my life...just buy this, you won't be sorry you did, and you will surely get many years of listening pleasure.

PS. Isn't she beautiful too? The Britneys of the music scene today can never come close to this kind of raw talent in my humble opinion.
