This is perhaps one of the best albums I have ever heard. You could say I'm biased because I love the Arctic Monkeys, and have since last year when Whatever People Say I am, That's What I'm Not came out.
The Arctic Monkeys, although sounding slightly different, they still have their old touch and are perhaps even more terrific to listen to.
If you're going to get just one song, get Flourescent Adolescent. This is their best song EVER!
However, If I were you, I'd get the whole CD and have many many great listens to the best album ever...

If you liked "Whatever people say I am, thats what I'm not" you'll like this cd 200% better. At least I do. "Brianstorm" is a frenzy of clashing noises that hits all the right notes. but goping past the single, songs like "Balcava" and "Do M a Favour" really set the mood, I feel, in the cd. You get a sort of sense the whole album is influenced by a burnout life style. in a couple of songs the times the lead singer spits out are so wrong you get a sort of hazy feel. This album is just great from beginning to finish. It is very different than their first album but has a lot of similarities as well which is a good thing.
Key Tracks: 1,2,4,5,7,8,11,and my favorite 12(505). The whole album is just great. Other great new albums this year that you should hear, "The Shins", "Modest Mouse", "The Good, The Bad, The Queen", "Ted Leo and the Pharmacists", "Pela", "Bloc Party", "The Fratellis", "Arcade Fire", "Kings of Leon","LCD Sound System", and "The Noisettes".

Arctic Monkeys have been my favorite band for a long time. No matter what I hear from them, I automatically fall in love with it. They're sheer genius and so much more. But I have to admit... even I was afraid to hear this album, because it's a bit different. But after having it on repeat for so long, I can't imagine them NOT releasing this brilliant piece of work. This album has already been played to death in just two weeks. It is downright amazing. The recording engineer and producer needs to be hugged endlessly for providing these sounds. The drums are some of the best drums ever recorded and the bass playing is downright genius. All of the songs are brilliant. It really is that good. The first album was great but this is even better. If only radio would play this instead of the American Idol fodder...
