Free Music Notes for Voice Lessons To Go Volume 1: Vocalize and Breath

Free Music Review: Great but probably not for complete newbies
Hit: 4 Stars

I have enjoyed singing and playing piano since I was little but if you are new to music, you may get frustrated without a teacher. I am a contralto and struggle with high notes. When I first started, I had to drop out for many of the higher notes. These exercises take effort so you can't expect to run through them and have a great voice instantly. I've been doing these exercises 3-4 times a week for a little over a month now, but was initially discouraged because I could feel strain in my muscles and couldn't feel/hear any results. I took a few days off to rest my voice as suggested by Vaccarino and I recommend that you heed her advice on this one! I practiced for church and felt incredibly good and sang high harmonies that I usually struggle with. After singing for church the following day, someone came up to me and said, "man you were really belting it out today and you sounded so good". I did the exercises Monday and hit the high notes comfortably and with ease! While this series can't make you a singer, it will develop muscles, control, and improve (not necessarily increase) your range.

Hit: 4 Stars

This is a good, basic warm-up set. It's great having it on CD to keep me focused to get the basics done. I move on from there. Four stars are because I get slightly irritated by her singing and playing when things speed up. I wish she wouldn't sing along, nor play all the notes. I tend to turn it off and do those myself. It's good to practice with your metronome anyway, and away from the CDs so you can really hear yourself and pay attention to your pitch as well. Great for traveling.

Free Music Review: Voice Lessons To Go -Yes!
Hit: 4 Stars

As a professional musician/singer, I am always interested in vocal exercises and teaching techniques.
I found Ariella Vaccarino's CD, Voice Lessons To Go, to be informative, relevant and fun.
I would recommend this CD to beginning vocal students who want an introduction to voice technique as well as professional vocalists who want to add new exercises to their current repertoire.

Free Music Review: Good tool to educate and warm up your voice
Hit: 4 Stars

We use these exercises to warm up our voice before a practise and also to educate our voice for the notes. The exercises in this CD are clear and too difficult to achieve. The instructions before each exercise are good, but after knowing them it is human nature to annoyed when someone takes some time to explain you something you already know :-) nevertheless, a very good tool.

Free Music Review: Great Starting Place
Hit: 4 Stars

This is a great starting place in learning to sing. Volume 2 was also good. I practiced on my own as well using the Funny Girl karaoke album -- I had tried other CDs but found that one had the best choice of styles/levels of difficulty with which to work on my technique. If you've never sung before I would recommend getting the Voice Lesson product to try it out.
