I first discovered this CD in 1997 while walking through a coffee house in the underground mall in Washington, DC. It was their piped in music for the store. I asked about it and they actually had it for sale.
It's great for a lazy day at the beach or out on the water. It has a real "Calypso" feel to it. Very soothing and invigorating. I won't go camping without it and have bought four sets for friends and family as well. I have also purchased other CD's of his and am completely happy with his music. It's just plain beautiful.

With the popularity of world music today, anyone with the slightest interest in this global phenomenon should immediately buy this CD!! No exaggeration! Every flamenco type song is beautifully done with Armik's fantastic guitar work, and great instrumental/orchestral accompaniment. The entire CD is a beauty,and it's nice to read all the other Amazon reviewers say the same thing. This music will live on far into the future,as only the best music can! I remember being in the car with my uncle driving back from work. As I reached home and got out of the car, the music was still ringing in my ear as if I had a built-in player in my head. I just couldn't get it out of my head, I've never heard such music where so much passion & skill has been put into it, all I can say is that the artist has an extraordinary gift of acoustic guitar that No one can match! Walked by a Natural Wonders store in Denver International Airport on my way to Algeria for six months - heard Gypsy Flame and was hooked - had to have it for that trip. Listened to this CD every day - clean, clear flamenco guitar with a great set of rythms. This music now plays on our telephone system at my company. Has flavors of Spanish music interwoven throughout - but Armik definitely has his own style. Very lean, few backup instruments on this CD. OUTSTANDING!Free Music Review: Smooth Soulful Armik... This is what my ears were yearning for. Armik delivers. He is truly a world-class musician. He has great technical expertise but he also knows how to make a song flavorful and not overdone. He sort of has "the magic touch." His compositions are very satisfying and good for many occasions. I rank him amongst the best guitarists in the world in this genre. Thank you Armik, can I have another?
