Honestly I've been an Asia fan since the early 80's, grew up loving their stuff then grew to not care for them so much thru the 90's and beyond as they went through various members (Asia is not the same without Wetton's unique voice). But nonetheless I am one of the diehards that will buy it if it has the Asia logo on it (CDs/LPs/PicLPs/Quadra/etc). I was totally thrilled when I found this as it had the original 4 members performing live - their Live CD's are good, though they are a bit lackluster in live DVD's (never actually saw them in concert back in the day). The Asia tracks are actually really good. I was just disappointed to find so much non-Asia stuff on the 2 discs - stuff from the bands they were wth prior to Asia. I would ahve rather had more of them with their own tracks than the mix of their predecessor band songs. That's really the only reason for the mediocre rating. Were it 2 discs of their stuff as Asia, which I'm sure they had enough of from the tour, I'd have probably slapped the other 2 stars on :-)

Asia, featuring members of Yes, ELP and King Crimson, was the first "supergroup" of the eighties. Their eponymous debut album, released in 1982, was a huge success racking up global sales in excess of 15 million copies. In 2006 the original four members reunited for the first time in over 20 years for a series of concerts in the US and the UK. The success of this tour led to a full-blown world tour running throughout 2007 in celebration of their 25th anniversary. This CD was recorded in Tokyo in March 2007 on the Japanese leg of the tour. The companion DVD will be released in Fall 2007 on Eaglevision.Classic Rock Music CDs
