Free Music Notes for Phoenix

Free Music Review: A strong return for ASIA
Hit: 5 Stars

An excellent CD from start to finish. From the kickstart rocker "Never Again" to the powerful anthem, and my personal fave, "An Extraordinary Life," Asia has returned with a solid effort. A little something for everyone who appreciated their first two - and only two - albums with this lineup. If you haven't seen them in concert since they reunited, try to catch them on tour. Incredible musicians at the top of their game.

Welcome back John, Geoff, Carl and Steve. It's been FAR too long!

OK, time to slap the headphones on again and crank up "Phoenix" for another listen...

Free Music Review: Kudos for Asia's official third Album
Hit: 5 Stars

This CD gets better the more it is played. Musical, it has much to offer. Unfortunately I am not a fan of the Payne error, but I appreciare Geoff keeping the band going with the hopes of reunion arising as it does here with Phoenix. In this day when the record companies have pretty much vanished, we are seeing more bands producing themselves and marketing their own material. I think this deserves recognition. It is extreemly nice that Steve Howe participated fully and contributed material here.

Free Music Review: ASIA PHOENIX is GREAT every penny!
Hit: 5 Stars

After waiting 25 years for the 4 original members of ASIA to release a new album, I am so pleased with this released. They have not abandoned the sound that got them the popularity they achieved many years ago and have kept many listening all through the years. I think the band sounds much better now than they did back then. Better equipment, and more time to practice makes for a perfect album. you will not be disappointed. Go buy this album asap and listen to it. I cannot stop listening.

Free Music Review: Retro 80's sound strong as ever
Hit: 5 Stars

I loved Asia's lush sound back in the 80's and they bring it back now in spades. The album's title seems designed to reflect the rebirth of their classic sound. What is just as striking is the compellingly catchy flavor of the songs! They still know how to ride a hook on the melody with their uncanny ability to sound like a hard rock and soft rock group simultaneously. It's a real treat to hear them back in their prime 25 years later. I hope they do more of this in the years to come.

Free Music Review: Finally Real music for an entire album!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

So refreshing to be able to listen to music as it was meant to be recorded and packaged.
No wonder the first album did so well, talent shines once more.
No corporate control on this one. Substance abounds throughout!!
Yes it has it's catchy pop moments ala "Never Again" but this is the music that has so dearly been missing from all of our lives for far too long!!(does anyone remember Keyboard's)
Welcome back from the Ashes Asia!!
