I heard an interview with Audra McDonald on NPR and basically bought this CD for one song (Stars and the Moon), and a general feeling of interest. I've listened to it three times through this morning. First of all, her voice is utterly amazing. I will admit I was not fond of some of the songs at first, but the best music is the music that grows on you. Believe me, these songs will grow on you. The "Stars and the Moon" alone is enough reason to own this cd. I cannot stop listening to that song.Free Music Review: wonderful voice

My husband and I were regulars at Roger Rockas' in Fresno then moved away. Had no idea Ms. Mc Donald would go so far. Her voice was so beautiful then. It is incomparible now. All of the songs on this album are great. I play it to relax and be transported to her world of song.Free Music Review: Audra is awesome

I first discovered her when I saw my first Broadway show Carousel. She not only has a strong soprano but can sound like a mezzo or belter. The songs are all beautiful and fit to her voice.
