Free Music Review: Underrated CD from an excellent band

The title of my review of this CD being underrated comes more from that fact that many people who know of ABR knows them from there more recent release, messengers. Messengers is a great CD but this one is just as good if not better in some songs. The other reason I wrote this review was not to reiterate what everyone else has said about it being great, innovative, technical, etc. but to really do justice to what is clearly the best song on this album and what is probably the best song ABR will EVER write. And this song goes well with my title as it is really underestimated and dismissed as it is not the catchiest song on the album or the one that will jump out at you until you listen to the CD multiple times(took me about a year of listening to this CD to really appreciate it).
Well enough with it! What song is it? -The Seventh Trumpet-
When i saw reviewers giving this song a 6/10 and saying they did not have the patience to listen to an 8 minute long song then I realized that they have never really LISTENED to this song. The lyrics are not long and complicated as they are really related directly to the culture we all live in today (much like American Dream off messengers) while relating our society to that of the book of Revelations in the Bible. Ive also seen many people who don't appreciate the Christian lyrics found in their lyrics. Well guess what? They are a Christian band so get over it.
The best way to describe this track is just EPIC. The lyrics a blood red moon and when Josh McManness asks us all "what have we all become", we see that the song has lyrics hinting at the end of days and the apocalypse. Then, near the half way point in the song, Josh sings "I take one last look at the moon", then dramatically whispers "and the stars begin to fall...", leading into 5 or so minutes of one of the most moving melodic guitar breakdowns with Josh periodically screaming AND THE STARS BEGAN TO FALL. Every time I hear this it gives me goosebumps as it is one of the most powerful pieces of music ever crafted.
So enough of my crazed ranting. If you have not really noticed this song or think its the best thing since sliced bread as I do, pull it up on your MP3 player and really listen to how beautifully put together it really is and headbang to its melodic goodness until your brain hurts.
