I have never been more pleased with a CD purchase in my life. At first I was worried that it might not have some of the songs that were sung by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, but I was pleased to find out that it contains the entire song not just the clips that were played in the movie. Although the music isn't mixed the same way that it is in the film all of the songs are there. I tried to multitask while listening to it and found myself sucked right into the music again. I may not have gotten the other work done that I was trying to do but I enjoyed every minute of the music I was listening to. If you liked what you heard in the movie buy the soundtrack! After seeing the extraordinary moving motion picture.... I had to have the sound track! I can't wait until the DVD comes out! Please let me know! The story line and the music moved in and out and through the whole film in conection with each characters souls... and mine... it moved me to the core from the very beginning and left me feeling truly good and hopeful inside... that there is still something wonderful in the human spirit to share with the world. Thank you.. Thank you... Thank you!!!
P.S The music was perfect and I will enjoy and remember the meaning each time I listen ... even if the CD is not playing... I will hear it and carry it with me...
Free Music Review: Saw the movie and immediately bought the soundtrack

In a CD collection that's spanned more than 40 years of music and I've lost count of how many genres, movie soundtracks number less than 20. I generally don't care that much for enough of the movie to purchase the whole soundtrack. This is one case where I stepped out of the theatre in Acquisition Mode. I was going to actually pay more for the soundtrack at a local vendor if I could just have found it tonight--but I'm getting it cheaper through Amazon and I'm happy. Just great music including folks like John Legend, John Ondrasik (Five for Fighting) and Kaki King on guitar. I have listened to this soundtrack every day for weeks now! I love it! I looked up the lyrics online so that I can better sing along :)) The music is uplifting and beautifully performed. I think it is great that Jonathan did his own singing, what a strong and passionate voice! And loved that Leon Thomas III did his own singing as well as the other young woman, what powerful and sweet voices for someone so young. The music fit perfectly with the movie. I also loved how the classical pieces flowed into the rock songs. The music really was a plot point in itself. The guitar playing was outstanding as well. I went to this movie expecting something good, yet I was blown away right from the start. No movie has ever moved me like this one, and it was all because of the music. This could have been a movie like any other movie, but it wasn't. A young boy teaching himself music and being naturally good at it in an attempt to find his parents is... there is no word for this soundtrack or the movie it's just to good. It's at times like these that a gross understatement is the best way to describe it. So I will say it was amazing. If that's a gross understatement of this product I would love to know what is the right statement for it.
