A heartwarming, beautiful story of how love overcomes life's obstacles. The music was so beautiful that at times I was moved to tears. The storyline was brilliantly woven together with the music that I am left amazed at its artistry. I can't wait to get the soundtrack and will definitely buy the DVD when it's available. I am a huge fan of a large base of music including hip hop, pop, r&b, country and so on, but when I heard this sound track it was like a breath of fresh air. The songs are so powerful and full of meaning and I could listen to the cd from start to finish without having to skip songs, they are all my favorite! I can't wait to get this cd as a gift for everyone close to me!Free Music Review: Fantastic!

I can't get enough of this CD. I dropped off my car for repairs this morning and this was the only CD that I switched to the rental. This CD truly evokes the movie experience, and has a terrific blend of classical, rock, gospel and acoustic guitar. The last track is Leon Thomas III singing La Bamba, of which there was only a teasing snippit in the film. Great CD.Free Music Review: Holy Smoke!

I've just watched the "August Rush" on a rental dvd and will keep the dvd (don't tell netflix) until my soundtrack purchase arrives from Amazon. Thanks for being there for me again, Amazon. I was suprised that, with every smile and grin, how much Freddie Highmore reminded me of Josh Groban! I've always enjoyed Johnathan Rhys Meyers as a singer and actor. He is a great singer in the movie Velvet Goldmine. I did not love the movie, but I love the soundtrack. His songs in August Rush are just as good, maybe better due to the raw emotion behind the music.I hope he has a long career and gets to sing more in some more movies. He is a great talent!
