This is a stunning 2-CD set of Guinean guitar music from the 1960s and '70s, a golden era for West African pop in general, and Guinean music in particular. The music comes from the vaults of the legendary Syliphone label, which recorded the best bands of the time, including first-line bands such as Bembeya Jazz National, Camayenne Sofa, and Pivi Et Ses Balaldins.
