Like many reviewers here I was dissapointed when I first heard the new A7X. But I didn't run here and post a negative review. Instead I gave it time, and kept playing it. Im glad I did. This CD is my current favorite, and I can't stop playing it. Every song has a hook (or several) that keep me singing them in my head all day long. There really isnt a dog on the cd. I love it, and every song on it now. Not sure why some cd's take several listens before they "click" but this is one of them. Now that its clicked I can say that its my favorite A7X album of all time. A brilliant masterpiece!Free Music Review: A7X's best album yet

With the exception of Nightmare, this is by far Avenged Sevenfold's best album. From the Rev's haunting vocals on Critical Acclaim and A Little Piece of Heaven, to the speed guitar and almost prophetic lyrics on Afterlife and Almost Easy, to the usual A7X clever lyrics on Unbound, this CD is great from start to finish. If you are an A7X fan, chances are you already have this cd, and if not, then this CD might just have the power to make you one, a must buy for all!Free Music Review: Good all the way through

This album is good all the way through. There is not a bad song on the album. A lot of people are mad cause Shadows doesn't scream anymore, but how many screaming songs could one band make. If they stayed screaming they'd be a one or two album band. The growth of this band musically and lyrically is amazing, with every album they get better. The guitar playing is awesome, the drums are thunderous, and the whole package is great. I can't wait for the next one.Free Music Review: Best A7X YET!

This is truly their best work to date. The music is just awesome and the vocals are much more expressive of his ability. This isn't just your typical "Screamer" he really has some pipes...and the whole band also sings parts on this.
Be sure you get the version with the DVD...it's well worth it.
I saw these guys live in St. Pete, FL and they KILLED!!!
I have all their music and this one is their best so far...

Free Music Review: New album lives up to hype

I must say that this album definitely lives up to the hype that it was given. Avenged Sevenfold has continued to rock from the first time I heard them and they have continued that rock in this album. Any true A7X fan will enjoy this album and look forward to more great music to come from this band. I expect nothing less from them and they have proved my theory correct, but everyone will have their own opinion as usual.
