Free Music Notes for Sounding the Seventh TrumpetFree Music Review: Great Hardcore Album Hit: 5 Stars
Not the best of Avenged Sevenfold's album's (my favorite being Waking the Fallen) but still good. The screaming parts don't always sound exactly like the words the lyric booklet says they are. (prticularly in We Come Out At Night) But all in all they are great lyrics. (especially in Warmness on the Soul and Shattered by Broken Dreams) And, the woman singing scream-style in the middle of Art of Subconcious Illusion was a shock, and even a little creepy... alright a lot creepy. But still a good song. It might seem like I'm giving all negatives, but there are good things. AWESOME guitar, AWESOME drums AWESOME vocals, AWESOME.... um.... other stuff! Also, if you're a die hard rocker, and absolutely hate rap or hip-hop crap then completely anti-rap/hip-hop Avenged Sevenfold is just the band for you. ROCK ON!!!!!
Free Music Review: AWESOME! Hit: 5 Stars
This album is much heavier than waking the fallen but waking the fallen is also a great heavy album. They went mainstream but the older A7X will always be much better and this is a must own for fans of bleeding through,as i lay dying, and a probably atreyu or only if you just like heavy music with great screaming, although bleeding through and as i lay dying are much heavier bands with death metal influences.I don't care what people say about this band(if you hate everything about them, even their early work)they are freakin awesome, the drummmer is like one of the best drummers out there, great hard drumming and not to mention the guitar work and m shadows, screaming and powerful singing.I hate them today not just their music but their style as well, you can see the difference, but they are great musicians.
Free Music Review: f*cking amazing Hit: 5 Stars
this cd is amazing, it is one of the most original cds ever. it has the perfect mix of punk and metal. M Shadows has an amazing voice, he can go from a chilling scream to a melodic singing voice. this cd ranges from times where its as heavy as any metal band to times when its just punk ( mainly the song streets). every song on this cd is amazing you will not skip a single song. even the ballad (warmness of the soul) is pretty good. and its about time that bands make songs longer then the 2 minute punk song and the 3-4 minute metal song, with the exception of to end the rapture (intro) every song is around the 5 minute mark and sometimes longer. so whether you listen to punk , metal, hardcore, screamo, whatever you need this cd. you will not be disappointed
Free Music Review: Allan Brinser.....yeah okay.... Hit: 5 Stars
First of all, A7X is the best thing to come out in hardcore metal. Not only do they use unbelieveable guitar shredding, amazing drum tempo's, and the widest range of vocals (not to mention the touch of modern age piano), but they have made a breakaway from all of the "other" music that is out there. You name to me one other band that uses all of this to make incredible new metalcore music, and I will withdrawl this statment, otherwise, keep on listening to your mindless, talentless, soon to be burnout bands on the daily top 40 like all the other tools out there and don't waste your time here anymore. Not to mention that these guys are heavily influenced by most bands I bet you grew up too. (If you even listened to anything half way decent growing up.)
Free Music Review: Not made for just sitting around Hit: 5 Stars
I love all of Avenged Sevenfold's albums, especially their first two. A lot of fans may not like their old material as much, but I absolutely love it. For me to enjoy the old material I have to go crazy, because it makes me crazy. If I'm just sitting down relaxing, like how one would approach Enya, this album would sound too heavy and uncontrolled. In reality, it is heavy, and the guitar is always pounding. It did take me some time to get used to. You have to let it grow on you to fully appreciate it.
There are some really good songs on here, and even a couple ballads. If you want more, their second album "Waking the Fallen" is similar but a little more cleaner with less screaming.
