This cd is a7f's First CD and it is simply Amazing. I found a copy of this in a local CD store ... Take a little old school metal (Iron Maiden) Mix it with some HardCore and add in a lot of Megadeth Styles and you get A7f's. I was never big into the "scream core " scene till I heard this cd. They are Even better live! The one song on there that catches your attention the most has to be Warmness on the Soul. The most ordinary Piano Love Ballad ever, but from a band that produces some heavy Sounds, it's quite astonishing! Check this cd out, you won't regret it. Also Check out Atreyu "Butterfly kisses and Suicide Notes"Free Music Review: Debut album is as good as their latest.

This album is the heaviest of their three and evidently, the most screaming. Focused mainly on heavy metal and punk themes, it lacks guitar solos and is strong on the heavy/grungy riffs. Thankfully, the bass is audible, unlike most bands of today, where the bassist is just an image.
Vocals aren't so strong but good overall, especially in "Warmness." But that's not the core of the sound in this album so it really doesn't matter.
If you like hardcore, metalcore, or metal, this album shouldn't be too far from your interests.
"Turn the Other Way" is the song to listen to.

There are a lot of hardcore bands out there now a days... A lot of them sound the same. Their screams sound the same, so do their guitars and drums. Avenged Sevenfold has its own unique sound that is both good and original. I cant stop listening to this album, its that good. Its really lengthy too, which is good. Its really melodic in the guitar riffs and vocals too, he does growl, but also sings beautifully.
Highly recommended if youre into metal, punk, hardcore what have you. It borrows from many different genres. Do yourself a favor and get this, youll thank me later!

I agree with DeadlyFred. This band is metal, but peole nowadays are too busy creating factions within their own genre. Well, on to business. This CD is heavy and fast. It does contain one melodic slow song, Warmness on the Soul, which is an awesome track. All the songs on here are different from one another and sound like pure genious. The CD never gets boring and has tons of replay value for the listener. They were awesome on the Warp tour and surprised alot of the pansies that were in the crowd. Has a Life needs to shup the F*** up. This album is just as good as waking the fallen. I can't say one bad thing about this album. The Solo's, the drummes, the bass, the volcals, the lyrics, is all good. the is metal at it's best. this band is going to make it far! these the best songs on the album...
