I had never even heard of Avenged Sevenfold until I bought and played Madden 2003 for the PS2. After hearing their song "Chapter Four" (from their second album, Waking the Fallen) I was hooked and decided to check them out. I'm glad I did. Lead singer M Shadows perfectly blends his screaming style of singing with a slower, more passionate voice to create some truly great songs. Being a fan of the power ballad, I would have to say that my favorite song on the album is Warmness on the Soul. Both of Avenged Sevenfold's albums are a great buy and I look forward to more from this up and coming superstar band.Free Music Review: Good, but not as good as W.T.F.

Yeah I like this CD, but it was a little of the undeveloped voice from M.Shadows that gave this a 4 star rating. I still like it, don't get me wrong but M.Shadow's voice really improved.But I still recommend this CD for Hardcore and emo fans and owners of Waking the Fallen who don't have this. Also Streets kinda sounds like an Offspring song.

My friend burnt me this cd from her collection, and the only song i had heard was a sllloooowww one, number 7. And I though ya know, it was so-so, but then once i listened to the rest, i was amazed....This is a truely hardcore/punk/metal album, this is better in my opinion than their newest album. A lot of screaming. Musically awsome. Guitars and drums make this band. It is good, but I don't think it is there best work. If you like great guitar playing it is a good album. If you don't like bands that scream this is not for you. It is good to listen to Sounding the Seventh Trumpet just to see how far the band has come.Free Music Review: Great!

I only just started listening to this band about a year ago, and all I can say is....I sure was missing out! Avenged Sevenfold have a completly unique style and sound, their simply amazing!
Powerful, fast and original riffs and lead guitar solos rule in this one!!!
