Free Music Notes for Under My SkinFree Music Review: How can anyone deny the talent, hard work, and success found on this CD? Hit: 5 Stars
Avril Lavigne is an amazing artist. And this CD is one of the best CDs I own. Lavigne's music is as powerful as anything I have heard. Anyone who criticizes her is just jealous of her enormous success. Maybe she just makes it look too easy?
"Take Me Away" has so many twist and turns it is like three songs in one. So if you buy this CD, right off that bat you've already got more than you bargained for. I could listen to this song twice-a-day for the rest of my life. You rock Avril! Don't let anyone tell you different!
"Together" starts off quite slow. The first time I heard it, I wasn't sure where it was going. But it quickly comes together, and I've learned to love this song as much as the rest of the tracks on this CD.
"Don't Tell Me" proves that Avril can do anything. I can't imagine another human being pulling this song off. Lavigne has amazing versatility. She does everything in this song. I hate profanity in music, yet Lavigne manages to somehow tackle tough words and subjects and make it sound like poetry! Lavigne for president! Oh, never mind, she's Canadian, ain't she? Anyhow, I love this song.
"He Wasn't" reminds me of some eighties hits, only Lavigne isn't taking it so serious. I think this song shows how fun-loving Lavigne is. I'm not sure I have ever said so many good things about a Canadian before!
"How Does It Feel" puts Lavigne's voice out above the music. She deserves every cent she receives for this CD! This song is so good that I don't even know how to describe how good it is! I'm just gonna move on to the next song!
"My Happy Ending" is one of the biggest hits on this CD. If you haven't heard it, you're a geek! Another song I could listen to once-a-day for the rest of my natural life. Oh, I forgot, there is a ad word in this song to, but somehow Lavigne makes it sound okay. Must be the Canadian accent!
"Nobody's Home" is a powerful song about losing our way. You know how you buy an artist's CD and then get home to listen to the whole thing, only to find out there are only two or three good songs on the CD? Well that doesn't happen on this CD! Every song on this CD kicks butt!
"Forgotten" is a little bit scary! Good bass, good beat, nice change ups and crossovers. Each time I hear this song I like it a little more. This is a ROCK song if there ever was!
"Who Knows" is smooth as music can be, a perfect flowing hit song! You are a star Avril. Anyone tell you that yet?
"Fall to Pieces" continues to prove this musician doesn't make bad songs. Is there any wonder why this CD is loved by so many.
"Freak Out" is powerful, funky, fun, and nothing to freak out about! I love the guitar on this one. By the way, if you're reading this review - just click the buy button! Everything I am saying about this CD is 100% true!
"Slipped Away" A nice soft ending.
This is one of my favorite CDs. Avril Lavigne is a great singer, songwriter, and musician. If you don't own this CD, you need to. If you love music, this is a must-own CD.
See ya next review!
Free Music Review: Very good,um, um OH JUST READ THE REVIEW!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Sorry. I can't write these stupid amazon titles!
Well I'm a pretty big fan of Avril. Almost everybody in my school(girls, that is. I'm a girl) enjoys her music. I liked this CD, as it is more of a mix of rock, punk, and pop. I really like hardcore rock(Led Zeppelin for example), but gimme a break, I'm a girl. I need some refreshment from male screams in my ear. Although Avril says she's like this big punk girl, in reality her CDs are just made up of fun upbeat catchy tunes. Not like I have a problem with that! First is 'Take me Away'. Pretty good song, though the lyrics are basically the same as dozens of her other songs, all about boys who hurt her emotionally. Next comes 'Together'. It's alright, definitely not my favorite. Next, 'Don't Tell Me'. It sends a very good message to teen girls, though I'm not gonna sit here explaining it. this is long enough already without telling you the lyrics of one song.
Next, 'He Wasn't'. This is a perfect example of how Avril is not a punk rocker. It's a upbeat song that makes me wanna get up and dance. I'm serious. But I love it anyway! #5- How Does it Feel- A wonderful heartfelt song. I just like lying on my bed and listening to the wonderful vocals and lyrics. very un-punk though! 6 is My happy ending. I've heard this SO many times on VH1's Top 20 music video countdown. Very catchy and fast-paced, though you can only listen to it so many times. 7 is Nobody's Home. This is possibly one of the most pessimistic songs i've ever heard. 'she wants to go home, but nobody's home. its where she lies, broken inside. no place to go to dry her eyes, broken inside' Very good vocals though! 8 is Forgotten. More 'Boys stink. I cannot get a successful relationship so I'm running away.' 9 is Who Knows. I love this. It's very nice and is the only song on this CD that sends an extremely positive message. 'I think there's something more life's worth living for. Who knows what could happen, do what you do just keep on laughing, tomorrow's a brand new day' This is the most hypocritical non-punk totally pop song I've ever heard, but it's so cool! I dance to this one, I must admit it. 10 is Fall to Pieces. What a sweet song! love triumphs over all. 11 is Freak Out. I don't really like the music or the lyrics, except for this one part- 'You don't always have to do everything right, stand up for yourself and put up a fight' 12, Slipped Away, is obviously the most from-the-heart song. It was dedicated to her grandpa who passed away a while ago. The lyrics clearly express her her love and grief for her grandpa. As I have not had a loved person die yet and would not know what it feels like, a good friend of mine's little brother passed away when she was in 1st grade and he a toddler. she loved this song, and I imagine cried over it. Well there you go. In conclusion(ha im writing a report for school!), this has proved that avril is NOT a hard-rocker as she says she is, but I still liked this new catchy tune to her songs. Finally it seems she isn't simply just doing what the record company tells her to do.
Free Music Review: I AM THE ULTIMATE AVRIL FAN! Hit: 5 Stars
I LOVE Avril Lavigne! I am her number one fan! This album is awesome and I listen to it nearly everyday.
Track 1: Take Me Away- Great way to start it off. Not my FAVORITE song, but I like them all. This song is a good one! 8/10
Track 2: Together- I really like this song. It's about how Avril doesn't feel comforfortable and in love with her boyfriend anymore. Definitely one of the best songs on the album! 9 1/2/10
Track 3: Don't Tell Me- An AWESOME song! Avril's trying to say that no boyfriend will ever be able to tell her what to do. She wears the pants in the relationship and if you don't like it- she doesn't need you. Shows girl power! 10/10
Track 4: He Wasn't- A great song with an awesome beat! Avril's crush turns out not how she thought. "He wasn't what I wanted, what I thought, no" is part of the chorus. Really good song! 10/10
Track 5: How Does It Feel- Slower song that Avril expresses the pressure and difference in being a celebrity. The first line of the chorus goes "How does it feel to be different from me?" Avril definitely shows the downside of being a celebrity sometimes. I really do like this song, but I prefer her more rock songs. 8/10
Track 6: My Happy Ending- In this song Avril is upset about a breakup. She really thought this guy was the one, and then it doesn't work out. Awesome beat and catchy tune. Most popular song on album in my opinion. 10/10
Track 7: Nobody's Home- My favorite song on the whole album! It's about a girl who's family isn't really there for her like they should be. The girl is basically living on the run, trying to live by whay she has. The chorus goes "She wants to go home, but nobody's home, that's where she lies, broken inside. With no place to go, no place to go, to dry her eyes, broken inside. Pretty deep! 100/10!
Track 8: Forgotten- This is a good song about the importance of meaning something to somebody. She says in the song that she "won't be forgotten ever again."
Track 9: Who Knows- Kind of flirty, saying "who knows what could happen, do your thing and just keep on laughin." I really like this song! 9/10
Track 10: Fall To Pieces- I LOVE this song! It'll keep you singing it for days! "I don't want to fall to pieces.. I just wanna sit and stare at you.." It's definitely a song about the little pleasures of being in love. 10/10
Track 11: Freak Out- This is an awesome song telling you to "freak out let it go" and advising you to be yourself no matter what. 10/10
Track 12: Slipped Away- Most emotional song on the album and ever written by Avril Lavigne. It is about Avril's grandpa passing away and Avril did not get the chance to really say goodbye. Expresses how much she loved and misses him. 10/10
My overall rating on Under My Skin by Avril Lavigne:
This is a truly amazing album. Avril Lavigne is very talented and I definitely recommend this album to everyone! This is a definite buzz-worthy album to share with anyone you know! I give this an overall 10/10!

Free Music Review: Boring garbage?? Hit: 5 Stars
Yah right, what are you people listening too? She doesn't have anything in common with Aerosmith, so stop comparing already. I'm Canadian, & I've never heard of Rush, so no comment. This album is a hundred times better then Let Go. Let Go is an embarrassement to this. Much improvement Avril has made, she writes a lot her songs with hardly any help, she's playing guitar live now, which is awesome, before she only played for like 3 songs(Tomorrow, Naked & Things I'll Never Say). Now, she's playing guitar live for almost all her songs, if not all. I saw her perform at Much last Friday, on TV that is, every new song she performed, 8 songs it was, she played guitar for except Forgotten & Slipping Away she played piano. She's far more talented now, & I don't know how anyone can not like this album unless you absolutely despised Avril in the 1st place, but then what's the point of listening to this then if you know you're already going to hate it. Well, here's a quick review: Take Me Away: 5/5 This song is awesome, the chorus rocks, & verses are amazing. Together: 4.5/5 If you actually listen to it, the lyrics are very meaningful, the pre-chorus is my favourite part. I'm using this song for my Poetry Project in English, which is kinda cool!! Don't Tell Me: 4.5/5 Who can't love her first single? Unless you hear it so often you get sick of it. Well, I was close, until I decided to stop listening to it for a while, & hey, that works. I still really love it!! Fun song He Wasn't: 5/5 Speaking of fun songs, this is definitely one of them. I love the guitar, the chorus, everything about it!! How Does It Feel: 5/5 An cool slow song, which you don't get too often. I love this song, it's so innovative & emotional. I didn't cry or anything, but it's sad & cool. My Happy Ending: 4.5/5 Fun, fun, fun!~! Nobody's Home: 5/5 Very thoughtful song, this is the one I was going to use for my Poetry assignment but changed my mind at the last second, I love this song! Terrific. Forgotten: 5/5 Now this is punk!! Simply fantastic. Who Knows: 4.5/5 Outstanding!! I love it. Tells you to be happy about life & don't be afraid to take chances, something alot of people need as a confidence booster. Fall to Pieces: 4/5 I like this song, it's catchy, & meaningful, only a little too personal for my likings but awesome just the same, great!! Freak Out: 5/5 NOw this is the Avril we all know & love, it's time to just rock out!! Slipping Away: 5/5 But not too this song, slowest song on the album, but it is pretty!! Note: She wrote Fall to Pieces with Raine Maida(Our Lady Peace) & Together/He Wasn't/How Does It Feel/Forgotten/Who Knows/Slipped Away with Chantal Kreviazuk. Also includes a free mini poster with 2 sides, ones the cover, & ones just another picture of her. Very pretty!! Overall, terrific album, I look forward to hearing more of her. Somethings telling me this girl is sticking around for a while!!
Free Music Review: Under My Skin Has Gotten Under MY Skin! Hit: 5 Stars
I dont know what I was to expect when I picked up this album about to purchase it. I didnt think it was going to match up to the overall brilliantess of "LET GO", I loved every single song on that album and that has only happened 1 other time. So I got it. And when I played it, it sounded cool, the opening track "Take me away" and once each song flowed on to the next, I loved this album, forget about all of those negative reviews from stupid people who havent even heard the album and judge her on what she is "posing" as. This album is really good and really catchy! I mean that A L O T . Some lyrics may be a little under-written and the vocals arent what you call Christina Aguilera, but she isnt trying to be in -your-face SEX pop.It IS a really good album and a brilliant follow up to "Let Go". Technically, its like "Let Go Part II" both albums would be amazing if they were packaged together and released together. I am going to review each song now: 1. Take Me Away.....Great start to the album 10/10 2.Together....... I think of this as "Complicated Part II" cuz if you listen to the lyrics, it is. 10/10 3.Don't Tell Me......... good 1st single, I wouldve chosen another one. Good song .But im getting kinda tired of it. 9/10 4. He Wasnt....... This is one thats not amazing for me, cuz it sounds so cheerleadery but again its kinda like "Sk8r Boi Part II" but not AS />5.How Does It Feel?........ I love this song. Its so nice! 10/10 6.My Happy this song is nice too and Avrils 1st swear word....Sh*t! Its nothing huge to consider though (the swear word--the song rules!) 10/10 7. Nobodys Again a nice song, light rock, is a good way to put it. 10/10 8. Forgotten......... this is SO Evanescence!!! Its cool........ 10/10 9.Who Knows?......... another nice song additon to the album 9.5/10 10.Fall To Pieces....... Nice. 10/10 11. Freak Out........ a slower version of Sk8r Boi? kinda..... not rocky, well it is. Kind of a "Sk8r Boi Part III (Remix)" yeah. 8.7/10 12. Slipped Away....... OMG! I love this, this is what I call a really nice song yeah, like Britneys "Everytime" is an OK WAY TO describe it, of course not poppy but a nice rememberance />Well thats it really my fave tracks are: Take Me Away Together How Does It feel? My Happy Ending Forgotten Nobodys Home Slipped Away. Overall this is one album that I virtually like EVERY track of! If you are considering this, forget those annoying reviews from ppl who havent even listened to the album Song Catchiness: 10/10 Definitley! Lyric Brilliantness: 6/10....not amazing. But very acceptable Vocal Brilliantness: 8/10........ not a huge voice but one thats got an influence. So yeah I reccomend it! All you Avril haters should atleast try and make out you are a fan ands see how you like it then!
