Now that bb king has 4-5 great cd's in his later years. ( Blues on the bayou, rideing with the king, let the good times roll, makin love is good for you, and "80".) It is time for a GREAT "LATE HITS" cd. A cd with all the hits from these 5 albums would just DESTROY the music charts. SO LISTEN UP GEFFEN records or any other interested label. The songs " waiting for your call" and "sittin on top of the world" are diffently the best here, and maybe, "I get so weary". SO there's your 3 picks from this album for a hits cd. So GEFFEN JUST PICK THE 3-4 songs OFF the other albums LIsted for this hits cd......and ...POW, 10 million dollars on records sales from this best of "LATE YEARS". This is a good recent album that B.B. King fans will want to own. The album is heavily flavored by Doctor John's piano and a fine collection of musicians. For my money, however, B.B.'s best recent album is "Blues on the Bayou." That is the recent album for which B.B. was granted the role of the sole producer of the album. He picked the musicians, the songs, and the arrangements, and made the minute by minute decisions in the recording studio about which takes were the best and how the album was put together. "Blues on the Bayou" has more soaked-in-BBQ-sauce, deep south, blues soul. "One Kind Favor" is more of a record company production, and it's a very enjoyable album.Free Music Review: A Return to Form for B.B. King

What a pleasant surprise to find out that B.B. King was working on a "back to roots" collection with producer T-Bone Burnett, and the results certainly did not let me down. Opening with a spirited version of Blind Lemon Jefferson's title track, B.B. and company then delve into more classic blues, covering The Mississippi Shieks, Howlin' Wolf, T-Bone Walker, Lonnie Johnson, and others. The production is not too slick, and the musical arrangements interesting and uncluttered. Just the kind of disc I've been waiting for this legend to release.Free Music Review: you cant be let down by BB KING

If you like the BB King sound, you will not be disappointed. However if you thought that somehow this CD would be different or outside the box, it isnt. Does that matter, I cannot get enough of that guitar that BB plays on. The truth be told, BB could make the album over 10 diff ways and I would buy and listen to the same songs over and over again. Fans of BB King this is another must buy. Sorry, but the time is drawing near that any future albums are up in the air. Dont walk , run and buy it. I have really enjoyed 'One kind Favor' by BB, one of his best, but can't give it 5 stars. While it is very good, it's not as good as 'Blues on the Bayou', my all time favorite CD by BB.
