Free Music Review: what's not to like??

This disc is not atypical of BFs past releases...risky, catchy, complex...etc. I have seen them in concert many times and have yet to be disappointed whether it be live or recorded. I have no problems with the interspersed vocals or anything else for that matter...I can sit and enjoy this recording front to back. The main reason I load this disc in the drawer is to show off my audio system. This disc is EXTREMELY well produced/engineered, rivaling the best SACDs for clarity and dynamic range. I can recommend buying it for that reason alone but you won't be disappointed with the music either.

What's left for Bela Fleck? Bluegrass, rock, jazz, classical, rock, folk--he's explored them all. After an epic, Grammy-winning live album, Fleck returns to the studio for a surprisingly subtle, intricate suite of instrumentals--and a number of vocal tracks--combining his usual daring on banjo with mandolin, synths, and theremin.
