Free Music Review: BBMak is one of my favorite bands...

Sooner of Later is truly a magnificant cd. I must have listened to it hundreds of times, because it never grows tired. BBMak has actually a "Beatles-like" sound, but with new vibes of their own which certainly make it a pleasure to listen to. Track By Track:1. Back Here: The first single in the USA. Lovely singing, and good melody, nice light pop/rock feel.
2. I'm Not In Love: Personally, one of my favorite songs on the album. A faster feel, and some sweet lyrics.
3. Next Time: The lyrics are cute "the next time you see my girl wont you tell her I love her"...
4. Love is Unpredictable: I also love this song, especially the guitar and harmony, this song definately reminds one of a Beatles song.
5. Ghost of You and Me: Although I'm not a huge ballad fan, this song always brings tears to my eyes, because it is beautifully sung.
6. I Can Tell: This song is about love (like most of their songs) but it has a light feel to it, and Christian sings some beautiful vocals.
7. Love is Leaving: Another favorite of mine, more uptempo.
8. Love on the Outside: Its sort of sweet, good guitar sounds.
9. Still On Your Side: the Second US single, I prefer this version on the cd to the one that was released as a single in the US and UK, but this song is definately something special, both versions are great.
10. Always: Mark plays his pennywhistle on this track, which gives it some originality, and it feels almost like a prayer type song.
11. Cant Say: Sweet, more uptempo again.
12. Again: I love this song, "you know they often say that love is blind, my heart cant see..." the lyrics are so sweet and they almost make a ballad that has pop appeal.
(On the British version of Sooner or Later, there are also two other featured tracks, including If I Could Fly, and on the BBMak DVD's which I highly recommend too, *BBMak our First Year in America, and *BBMak Music in High Places Live from Vietnam, you can see them perform other songs not featured on this album like Scotland the Brave, and songs featured on this album.)
I'm the biggest BBMak fan, so CHRISTIAN BURNS, MARK BARRY, AND STE MCNALLY definately cant do wrong and I cant wait until their next cd comes out.
Free Music Review: Incredible Music

First things first: BBMak is NOT a boyband! They write their songs and they play their own music. Not only that, but they write and play GOOD music. Catchy music. Now then, let's go over the tracks one by one, shall we?
1. "Back Here" - BBMak's first single, and deservably so. The music is at once pop-like and yet also very mellow and guitar-driven, while the vocals add to the songs melancholy mood.
2. "I'm Not In Love" - A more uptempo song, not as good as "Back Here," but along the same lines, musicwise, only faster.
3. "Next Time" - Another "I miss my girl and I want her back" song, like "Back Here." Only "Next Time" has the band sounding more sad, both in the lyrics and the music.
4. "Love Is Unpredictable" - A love-is-good song. Fun, poppy, and upbeat, and in BBMak's patented gutiar-happy style.
5. "Ghost Of You and Me" - A sad ballad. Not my favorite song from the album, as it moves away from what I like, the pop sound.
6. "I Can Tell" - Following what appears to be a theme, the band laments a relationship that is going sour in this midtempo, guitar-driven song.
7. "Love Is Leaving" - This song has the exact same meaning as the one before it: a relationship is ending. In fact, that's not the only way it's similiar to "I Can Tell." The music is pretty much the same, too!
8. "Love On The Outside" - A nice pop song, but not really a standout. A filler.
9. "Still On Your Side" - The best song on the CD, and reason alone to buy it! This song fuses an excellent pop hook with nice lyrics and great singing.
10. "Always" - To be honest, I skip over this song every time. It's too slow. If you like drawn-out songs with more music than lyrics, though, you'd like this.
11. "Can't Say" - Another one of my favorites. It's such a mellow-yet-poppy song about the sweetness of love. Enough to give someone a toothache!
12. "Again" - Another song like "Always" that I skip. It's just too slow and drawn-out. I prefer more vocals in a song.
BOTTOM LINE: Pop fans will like this CD, but so will fans of more mellow, guitar-driven music.
Free Music Review: Raising the bar of pop music!

I really like pop music but some of it is so sugar-coated and over uses certain sounds, it's great to run into a band that knows what their doing. BB Mak is an actually band who play their own instruments and write their songs on their debut album. And guys don't have to be ashamed to listen to it cause it's manufactured boy bands (Cough..O-Town..Cough)Best songs in order:
Ghost of You and Me - Such a soothing song. It's has such deep meaning and it's my favorite song on it. It's was their 3rd single off their CD.
Back Here - Oh yes, The first single, this is where they hit it big. They got great voices on their hands and this song shows it off quite well.
Can't Say - Another song bound to be a hit if they decide to release this as a single.
Still On Your Side - 2nd single, More uptempo that their 1st and 3rd single. And got the most radio air play (so far) of the 3. Definately cool.
BB Mak is bound to blow up BIG, I mean BIG. Their like this generations Beatles. (Ok, maybe that's a little bold to say right now) But go out and buy the CD, you'll like it.
Free Music Review: The Most Therapeutic CD Out There

The sweet harmonies and wistful melodies on BBMak's CD Sooner or Later are one of the most beautiful things that have ever reached my ears. The 95% of the songs are written by Bbmak and the instrumentals on the tracks are also played by them. These three very talented Brits are a refreshment from the cookie-cutter boy bands and girl bands that have been invading the pop scene lately. This is a real band!! Whenever stressed out, these songs about lost love, true love and love that is just out of reach totally relax and exhilarate the mind!Free Music Review: BBMAK RULES!!!!!!!!!

Like I said before, BBMAK RULES!!!!!!!!!! Ok, now seriously, their voices are sooo wonderful and harmonious. I absolutely love all the songs on this CD! I can actually play it straight through and not skip any song! When I first heard "Back Here" on the radio, I thought, "I better buy their CD!" My hunch was right, all of their songs rock!!! I didn't even know what the rest of the CD sounded like but I still bought it. And I am sooooo happy I did that. I listen to this CD everyday and I never get tired of it. ...
