I've been a J.S. Bach fan my whole life. I have read about this collection for years and have toyed with the idea of buying it, but have hesitated because of concern for the quality of the recordings and the price. Well, with the price this low, I hauled off and bought it. I've been absolutely delighted.
CAUTION: There are NO English translations provided of any of the choral works. So, just be aware of this.
There is no collection as complete as this one for this low a price. The performance quality is not necessarily the best of the best, but....it is still very well done.
I highly recommend the set.
