Free Music Notes for Backstreet Boys [ENHANCED CD]Free Music Review: They Really Do Have It Goin'! Hit: 5 Stars
Well, after buying Millennium, I finally decided to check outtheir first album(for the USA). It took so long because I got so mixedmessages about it. I 'm so sorry I waited though, because this album is great. I do like Millennium better, but this is pretty close. About the songs, well here goes... We've Got It Goin' On- Great beginning song. AJ 's rap is great and I usually don't like rap. It is kinda repetitive, but the beat makes up for it. Quit Playing Games(With My Heart)-This is a classic. Brian is great here! The song is so full of emotion, but not sappy in any way. Amazing, huh? You have to listen to the chorus, because it is beautiful. As Long As You Love Me- I love this song! One of the first songs i heard from this album, it's amazing. At the beginning, Nick's voice is perfect and so are the lyrics. I may be a little on the sappy side, but their voices make up for it. I love this song! Everybody(Backstreet's Back)- This is the best upbeat song the BSB have ever done. AJ shines here. If you haven't heard it(like anyone hasen't) then you better listen to it. I have the extended version and I listen to it all the time. The beat is so danceable and perfect. Let's see 'N Sync do something like that! All I Have To Give- Another amazing song. the lyrics are so beautiful and the whole tone of the song is too. I really like the break in the middle, but the climax is really during the chorus at the end. Anywhere For You- A sweet song. It's pretty much the same through the whole song. And it does get kind of boring. Hey Mr. DJ(Keep Playing This Song)- Good dance song. While it does have a beat, it's more quiet and smooth than Everybody. I'll Never Break Your Heart. One of the best ballads they have ever done! The chorus is perfect and Howie is great. The one problem is that at the end, the talking between lines isn't quite that smooth. Oh well, It 's still a wonderful song. Darlin'- At the beginning you might think another I'll Never Break Your Heart, but not so. Brian, through a lot of the song, is singing to a girl in a relationship that is not going very well. Some of the lines are very good and the chorus is very sweet. Get Down(You're The one For Me)-This is a sugary pop song. AJ 's rap is great in it but I'm not sure it fits the tone of the song. Set Adrift On Memory Bliss- I don't understand why everybody hates this song. I love it. The song is rather sad, but the harmony and their voices are excellent. If You Want It To Be Good Girl- I refuse to write the rest of the title. This song, I think, is the only stupid song they have ever done. The beat is nice, but the lyrics... I do have to admit that it does make me laugh. I guess everybody has to do a song like that though. Well, one more thing before I close. I would have rated this 4.5 stars if i could because you don't really hear Kevin and I think he has a great voice. But, as I can't they can have 5 stars.
Free Music Review: My Honest But Humble Opinion On The Backstreet Boys Hit: 5 Stars
i was walking through a little independent record store in my town and browsing through The Durutti Column and Felt cd's.i found this cd just sitting there and it looked pretty intense judging by the cover and i just had to pick this one up instead of that Jesus and Mary Chain sludge which i was planning to get ahead of time. i went home and i sat in my room and put this cd into my 5 disc changer and i didn't know what to say. this cd was the best i have ever heard since "Daydream Nation" by Sonic Youth. here is my review of the songs... 1. We've Got It Goin' On--starts off with a hardcore drum solo and then goes into some pretty intense and disturbing lyrics such as "Why be ashamed of hatred? We Have got it going on". just a great song. 2. Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)--this is about losing the love of your life from seeing your girlfriend go for some older guy and its basically just playing games. nice guitar solo in the middle of the song. 3. As Long as You Love Me--the title explains it. basically being in love but you don't really believe it since your girlfriend goes to other places with other guys. its like 10 minutes long...i can't take it. 4. Everybody (Backstreet's Back)--the music video for this song has Nicholas Carter (who has a huge beard, looks like one of the oak ridge boys) breaking his bass guitar and taking gears and breaking them over his band-mates AJ's head. it got banned from MTV. 5. All I Have to Give--one of the most intense songs i have ever heard since "Raping A Slave" by Swans. 6. Anywhere for You--man does this song rock. Howie makes Norman Westburg look like Aaron Carter. (nick's brother who is signing to 4AD Records in the near future). 7. Hey, Mr. DJ (Keep Playin' This Song)--the reference to the DJ is someone who plays Indie Recordings so the crackstreet toys happen to like it. thats it. 8. I'll Never Break Your Heart---another breakup song...they need to write more songs about Disk Jockeys. 9. Darlin'--a song written about the perfect girl...who must be pretty hot. 10. Get Down (You're the One for Me)--they made a video for this one i believe where Bryan spends his time with Jarboe (from Swans) and they seem to be having a great time. 11. Set Adrift on Memory Bliss--reminds me of The Harsh Truth Of The Camera Eye by Morrissey. 12. If You Want It to Be Good Girl (Get Yourself a Bad Boy)--a perfect way to end this masterpiece. OVERALL-if you like this cd...by Cop/Young God/Greed/Holy Money by SWANS...it sounds just like it.
Free Music Review: I love this CD!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I've been a huge fan of the Backstreet Boys since '97, and I have each and everyone of their albums. All of them are GREAT! This one, however, is their American debut (they've had two other Import albums before this one). I think it's a rockin' CD that shows the more fun, relaxed side of the BSB. Every song on this CD is awesome (well, with the exception of one song!). So here's the run-down:"We've Got It Goin' On" - - this is the very first single the BSB had. They first released it in the US, but it didn't do very well on the charts so they decided to try Europe...and it became a major hit! This is a groovy, upbeat song and the lyrics are awesome. So are the Boys' vocals. "Quit Playin' Games (With My Heart)" - - you've all heard this song before. I personally love it and it never gets boring or old! "As Long As You Love Me" - - still my favorite ballad on this CD. You've all heard this one, too. "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" - - the CD I have doesn't include this song, but I have the single for it and it rocks! You've all heard this song so you decide. "All I Have To Give" - - a great ballad. The vocals and lyrics are smooth and solid, and so is the music. You've all heard this one, I believe. "Anywhere For You" - - a cool love ballad. The lyrics and vocals are wonderful. "Hey, Mr. DJ (Keep Playin' This Song)" - - an awesome uptempo dance song. The lyrics are cool and so are the BSB vocals. "I'll Never Break Your Heart" - - one of my favorite love ballads. And what they say is true: They never WILL break my heart! Beautiful lyrics and vocals. "Darlin'" - - OK song. Brian does great here. But not one of my favorites. "Get Down (You're The One For Me)" - - an awesome uptempo song! I just love it. The lyrics, music, and vocals are amazing. "Set Adrift On Memory Bliss" - - I think this is the only song by the BSB that I ever disliked. It shouldn't have been included here. Really bad. "If You Want It To Be Good Girl (Get Yourself A Bad Boy)" - - my favorite uptempo song! Nick's lead vocals are awesome (I think Nick is so gorgeous and talented!). This song should NOT be missed. All in all, terrific CD. It's great for a party or just for having a good time and relaxing. Nick, Howie, Brian, AJ, and Kevin were al much younger when they recorded this CD, but that doesn't make them bad! BACKSTREET BOYS - if you haven't got it yet - is the one CD you shouldn't miss out on! ... This CD rocks!!
Free Music Review: "Brian, Howie, AJ, Kevin, and Nick...I LOVE IT!!!" Hit: 5 Stars
First and foremost, before I give this CD a WONDERFUL review, there is just one thing that I have to say: On the CD, "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" is missing. How odd is that? Oh well, at least I have the single to the song! This is the first time I listened to this CD, and I enjoyed it very much. I love every bit of this CD, full of the most romantic ballads I had ever heard and lots of fun to listen to. I always been a fan of the group ever since "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)" came out, and like most girls, I find them all very gorgeous! They have very cool vocals with a lovely harmony. I don't own this CD. I happened to have borrowed it from a friend of mine, but I do own the NSYNC CD. I wasn't too excited listening to NSYNC, probably cos the BSB's came first and I think they are A LOT cuter and I think their songs are a lot better. Who wouldn't enjoy this CD after all? I happen to find NSYNC pretty lame in many ways and I don't find them as exciting or as enjoyable as the BSBs. After all, Joey, Chris, Lance, Justin, and JC are definately aren't Brian, Nick, AJ, Howie, and Kevin! And here's another confession (even though I assume that you or anyone else who reads this review figured out): I really don't like NSYNC, but I do like a few of their songs. Sorry, NSYNC fans!!! I really loved "We've Got It Goin' On", and seeing that video is kind of silly knowing how different they look in the video, and all fans got a good view of them shirtless and wet for the video for "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)" (**BIG GRIN**). I really enjoyed the romantic sound and feel of "Darlin'", and the vocal arrangements on "Set Adrift On Memory Bliss". Personally, my favorite BSB song is "I'll Never Break Your Heart". It's a really sweet song, if you listen closely to the lyrics. So, I recommend this CD to anyone who does like NSYNC, 98 Degrees, and all those other groups with mellow vocals! And to anyone who is planning to buy this CD soon...ENJOY!!!
Free Music Review: They've Got it Goin' On.....Now and Forever! Hit: 5 Stars
This CD has a mix of everything from r&b, pop, and soft ballads. Here is a review on their whole CD.1. "We've Got it Goin' On" has a great beat. The song says it all about the Backstreet Boys. Even though I agree with the idea, but I don't really like it because I kind of like soft ballads. 3 out of 5 2. "Quit Playing Games With My Heart" has great lyrics and it's a really cute song 5 out of 5 3. "As Long as You Love Me" explains that even though they are a unique song. 5 out of 5 4. "Backstreet's Back" is my least favorite because it has a lot group, they have different personality. It's a very cool and of repeating lyrics which reminds of Nsync. (Not a good thing)3 out of 5 5. "All I have Give" is the sweetest song I have ever heard. It tells that even though a guy buys you a lot of cool stuff, and spends a lot of money on you, he doesn't give you enough time or love. 5 out of 5 6. "Anywhere for you" has great music and lyrics that can melt you. 5 out of 5 7. "Hey Mr. DJ" nice, kind of an r and b sound, great beat, and cool dance song. 5 out of 5 8. "I'll Never Break Your Heart" is very mature, sincere, and beautiful lyrics. 10 out of 5. 9. "Darlin" not exactly my favorite song, but it's an okay. It's one of those songs you don't want to hear too many times. 4 out of 5 10. "Get Down" Cool song. I love it. Get up and dance everybody! 5 out of 5 11. "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss" is a nice, soft song. It just puts me to sleep. 5 out of 5 12. "If You Want it to be Good Girl" cool song, a little different from Backstreet style. 5 out of 5
