Free Music Review: The Kings Of Pop still!
Hit: 5 Stars

1.) "The Call" - - a funky, uptempo dance song about the Boys' cheating. I like the lyrics and the vocals are really good. One of the best and their second single on this album.

2.) "Shape Of My Heart" - - you've all heard this by now because it was their first single. A mild uptempo with solid lyrics and vocals.

3.) "Get Another Boyfriend" - - another hard-core Pop song with aweesome lyrics and vocals. Another one of my personal favorites on this album.

4.) "Shining Star" - - a cool, R&B song that's a mild-uptempo song. BSB members Nick Carter and Howie Dorough wrote this song along with Franciz & LePont...and I have to say they did a pretty damn' good job!

5.) "I Promise You (With Everything I Am)" - - *N SYNC fans might think they stole this song from *N SYNC (think: "This I Promise You"). But they really didn't because it's very different. Also, it's a much better ballad anyway!

6.) "The Answer To Our Life" - - I have to say this is my absolute favorite on the album. It was written by all five Backstreet Boys (and you always said they couldn't write their own songs!). This is definitely a Backstreet classic. Sounds kinda like "Shape Of My Heart", but faster.

7.) "Everyone" - - a song dedicated to their fans. Unique and original with amazing lyrics and vocals. Very uptempo, fast-beat song.

8.) "More Than That" - - I'm sure you've all heard this song by now. It's their third and more recent single. It's got an R&B feel and their vocals and lyrics are very smooth and wonderful.

9.) "Time" - - another song written by the five Boys. This song was also produced by Babyface and he even sings backups. This is about the BSB growing up and maturing. Beautiful.

10.) "Not For Me" - - a very funky, uptempo dance song. Once again, *N SYNC fans might complain that they stole this from *N SYNC (think: "Bye Bye Bye" and "It's Gonna Be Me"). And yes, all three songs were written by the same people - but they are all different and this one is better.

11.) "Yes I Will" - - more R&B. An amazing love ballad with good strong lyrics and vocals. Another personal favorite. Almost gaurantee it will be the wedding song of 2001. Co-written by AJ of the Backstreet Boys.

12.) "It's True" - - if you had gotten the Burger King CDs, this is the song you would've found on them. It was written by Kevin of the BSB. It's a beautiful love ballad.

13.) "How Did I Fall In Love With You" - - this is actually Howie D.'s song. It's so beautiful that it brings tears to your eyes. Brian and Howie really shine on this song.

One thing I love most about the Backstreet Boys is that you can really relate to their music. When I'm feeling down, I just play their music and it cheers me up. They have some of the most beautiful vocals in the whole music industry - nobody can harmonize like them, not even *N SYNC! They are very talented young men and I wish people would stop dissing them and their music because those people are probably the people who never even listened to any of their music except for the songs they hear on the radio and stuff.

They are real, too - unlike *N SYNC who just seem fake and act like phonys. The Backstreet Boys do a lot for charity. They are generous, kind, talented, sweet, and gorgeous (did I mention how incredibly hot Nick Carter is?!). They have really matured over the years and they show it through their music. They make awesome music videos and put on incredible concerts and tours. Plus, if you wanna discuss how many CDs they've sold, well, the Backstreet Boys have sold over 60 million CDs (that includes all three albums), world-wide. All went Gold and Dimond, and they've won many more awards than *N SYNC's ever won or ever will. Plus, they've had about ten Grammy nominations including Album Of The Year! They've probably got more fans than anybody else and they will still be around making hit records long after all the other Boy Bands (including *N SYNC) have broken up.

BLACK & BLUE has definitely been the BSB's best record. Can't wait for their next one! Oh yeah, and I really hope AJ gets better soon > Love ya, Nick, Kevin, Brian, AJ, and Howie! Backstreet rules!
