Free Music Review: Black & Blue's the best by far!

Since several people rated each song one by one, I figured I'd give my rating as well.1) The Call - 5 stars-- Excellent song, with a great fast-paced tempo. The harmony is very catching and addicting. Definitely a dancing song. One of the best on this album. 2) Shape of My Heart - 5 stars-- I don't know why so many people seem to think that this song sounds a lot like "I Want It That Way," as I don't hear any resemblance between the two other than that they're both love songs with a good beat in it. Nick's solo in this song is absolutely wonderful. 3) Get Another Boyfriend - 4 1/2 stars-- Great song with a great dancing beat to it. 4) Shining Star - 2 stars-- This song is definitely my least favorite out of the whol album. It's slow, a bit too slow for my liking. It'd be a good song to listen to if you can't sleep. :-) 5) I Promise You (With Everything I Am) - 4 stars-- This is another slow song. It's a good, lovey-dovey slow dance song. Very romantic ballad. 6) The Answer to Our Life - 3 1/2 stars-- Another slow song. I love BSB, but I think there are too many slow songs in a row. This is a great ballad, though, especially for romantics. 7) Everyone - 5 stars-- I totally love this song. It's got a great dancing beat to it. And like "Larger Than Life," it is totally about the fans, which I think is totally selfless and terrific. That's why they are the coolest in my book. 8) More Than That - 5 stars-- This is a terrific, terrific song. It's a great ballad with a nice beat to it. The music, words, voices, everything is absolutely terrific. I can never get enough of this song. 9) Time - 4 stars-- Beautiful, romantic ballad. 10) Not For Me - 5 stars-- I truly cannot stand N Sync, and this song totally reminds me of them. Even so, I love this song. Great beat and all. Just wish it didn't remind me of N Sync. 11) Yes, I Will - 3 stars-- It's a nice song, but too slow. Beautiful words and everything, but it puts me to sleep. :-) 12) It's True - 5 stars-- Loved this song the first time I heard it on the Burger King CDs. It's another lovey-dovey song, but with a nice beat and great vocals. 13) How Did I Fall in Love With You - 3 1/2 stars-- Another slow, slow song. It's beautiful, nevertheless, though. Howie did a great job in singing this.
Out of all their albums, I love this one the best as there are more songs on there that I love.
Free Music Review: What The Heck.......Is This Superb Album!

This album deserves 10 stars! This album is an absolute masterpiece. Period. It took a while for me to like the Backstreet Boys' music (except their first album, no comment on that one), but now that I like their music, I'm sure glad that I bought "Millennium" and this, even better album, "Black and Blue". I find that I'm listening to this album every day! This album's incredible! ALL of the songs on this one are AMAZING, with so much quality and substance and ingenuity. A great thing about this album which is not found on "Millennium" is that the majority of songs are rocking, energetic songs with fewer slow songs whereas on "Millennium" it's the opposite. "Millennium" is a great album too, but "Black and Blue" is much better. An excellent, excellent example of how the Backstreet Boys can rock is in the song 'Get Another Boyfriend'; this song ROCKS THE HOUSE DOWN!!!!!! I am so amazed and so glad that they made this song. How did they think of this song? IT'S SPECTACULAR! To all you Backstreet Boys haters out there, listen to this song and have a second opinion. When I hear this song on my excellent speakers, I BLAST IT. I truly believe this is the best song they have ever made and the best song they will ever make. 'The Call' is a very rocking song and very worthy of mention as well. Some other rocking songs worthy of mention are 'The Answer To Our Lives', 'Everyone' excellent song which "goes out..." to everyone that listens to them and enjoys their music instead of themselves, 'Not For Me', and 'Shining Star' excellent. Even the softer songs have a superb sound to them and are extremely ear-catching with excellent lyrics....as with the energetic, rocking songs. 'Shape Of My Heart' is the most popular song from this album and is the most rocking of the softer songs on this album. Each song on THIS SUPERB ALBUM is extremely distinct and separate from every other song on the album, yet the flow and continuation from one song to the next is wonderful and excellently done.
I would definitely recommend this album to anyone that didn't like the Backstreet Boys before, and are looking to hear a 180 degree turnaround in their music. This IS NOT sissy music. This is some VERY HARDCORE music from a band that you might not have thought could make excellent, quality, music before, the Backstreet Boys! Everyone....go out there and buy this album! Believe me, you WILL NOT regret it.
Free Music Review: 14 Tracks Actually...

There are 14 tracks actually. 'What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)' is track 13 and 'How Did I Fall in Love With You' is track 14. Besides that, this isn't BSB at their best. This album did not live up to 'Millenium'. This album sounds like their first album. To me, it seems like their albums should go in this order: 'Backstreet Boys', 'Black and Blue', then 'Millenium'. It's sad but it's true. This album is still good though but it's not the best. :( Here are individual track ratings:
'The Call'-I love the beginning! It's cool! The music video is also cool! Nick looks SO HOT!
'Shape of My Heart'-I LOVE THIS SONG! It's so sad, the harmonies are great, and the music video is cute. LOVE IT!
'Get Another Boyfriend'-this sounds SO funky it's scary. It was played on a 'Lizzie McGuire' episode. At first, I didn't recognize it. But after awhile, I did. They sound like NSYNC in this song (tsk, tsk)
'Shining Star'-they sound Britney Spears in this one (tsk, tsk). The way they did that thing with their voices.
'I Promise You (With Everything I Am)'-sweet, very romantic
'The Answer To Our Life'-I love the lyrics and meaning to this song. I play this song constantly. I can HIGHLY relate to it. This song is kind of religious.
'Everyone'-another song dedicated to their fans (like me). Ahhhh :)
'More Than That'-HIGHLY overplayed but it's still good. A song HIGHLY overplayed but still good? That doesn't happen very often! I guess with BSB that's an exception. :)
'Time'-this song describes what the boys have been through over the years. People can also relate to it also. You can look at this song like the time you've been together with you bf/gf. Or the time you've known a certain person (like a friend or enemy or something).
'Not For Me'-LOVE THIS SONG! I JUST LOVE THE BEAT (AND LYRICS)!
'Yes I Will'-song to play at a wedding
'It's True'-song that says to someone 'I'm sorry'. I HIGHLY can relate to this song.
'What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)'-FAVORITE SONG! This song is the TOP song I would want a guy to dedicate to me. This describes everything I think and I am. I LOVE THIS SONG!
'How Did I Fall in Love With You'-this song is SO SAD! Nick says it's his favorite to perform. :)
I don't skip a track. Even though that's so, it's the quality of the song, not the quantity that makes it not as good as 'Millenium'. Recommend this CD though.
Free Music Review: The most diverse pop CD in a long time

This cd has something for everyone. The dance tunes, the mid tempos that u can listen to in ur car,the ballads, and even r&b! I was extremely inpressed that this CD topped Millenium. I can scence a growth but it doesnt get too far away from their classic sound.The Call-This song is gonna be the next single and I can tell it will be a hit. It is about a guy who gets caught cheating on his girlfriend which is a diffrent subject for the boys. Great upbeat song with some Latin sounds in it.
Shape Of My Heart- You all know this song!
Get Another Boyfriend- This is a hard pop song. Its great! I cant get this song outta my head. Great to dance to in a club with all the techno beats and stuff.
Shining Star- Aj and Nick wrote this one and it is the most diffrent song from anything they have ever done. Its a great up tempo with sexy verses. Turn this one up loud!
I Promise U- This is a pretty good ballad. Not too cheesy. Brian sings very well on this.
The Answer To Our Life- BSB wrote this themselves and its has to be the best song on the CD. The opening music is fantastic. Kinda up beat and brings back the feel of "I Want It That Way" to me cause it has that longevity. Also the best message in all the songs.
Everyone- I know the title sounds like "Everybody" but this song is nothing like it. Its a great up tempo dedicated to their millions of fans worlwide. Great song, possibly a hit.
More Than That- By far the best ballad on the CD along with "Its True" Just the way the song sounds made me cry and I havent cried when I heard a song since Tupac! Dont skip over this one!
Time- This song BSB wrote. Its a ballad about their career. An okay ballad with great vocals.
Not For Me- This song is destined to be a hit. Sounds a little like "Bye Bye Bye" could it be the same ppl wrote both songs? But BSB definatly make this their own. Classic BSB up tempo!
Yes I Will- Aj and Brian wrote this one. Its okay a little chessy. Its basically a marriage song.
Its True- Along with "More Than That" the best ballad. Its so beautiful. Kevin wrote this one.
What Makes U Diffrent(Makes U Beautiful)- This song is on the CD I got and if its on urs then thats good. Its a kinda mid tempo. Howie wrote this one. It has a nice flow.
How Did I Fall In Love With You?- This song is also written by Howie. His voice sounds amazing in it. its a very soft and pretty ballad.

This album is one of the best pop albums ever and the Backstreet Boys have amazing voices!The Call: I don't know why, but this song makes me want to march. It's a great up-tempo song that has a slight Latin feel to it. Some people have claimed that song was telling guys to cheat on their girls. But anyone who listens to the words can tell that this song is exactly the opposite.
Shape Of My Heart: While this song may not pass I Want It That Way, this is still a great song with amazing harmonies and it was a nice choice for the first single.
Get Another Boyfriend: Well obviously when they say, "Get Another Boyfriend" they're actually saying, "Date me instead." Too bad this song never became a single because it's even better than "The Call".
Shining Star: This one took some time getting used to. Now I love it and it's fun to dance to. Also Rodney Jerkins does a good job producing this one.
I Promise You (With Everything I Am): The title may be similar to NSYNC's "This I Promise You", but the song itself is more like 98 Degrees's "I Do (Cherish You)" It's a good love song, but not their best.
The Answer To Our Life: This song was the 5 guys themselves without any help from no one. They did a really great job. And it's a pop song that actually has a great meaning. Surprised? This song should have been made a single.
Everyone: The second song they've had that's about the fans. Not as great as Larger Than Life, but it's still good.
More Than That: One of the best ballads on this album. Great choice for a single.
Time: Another song that all 5 of the guys wrote. It's about all that they've been through as a group. And it was produced by Babyface.
Not For Me: Great song, but it kinda sounds like NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye" I guess that's because it was written and produced by the same people.
Yes I Will: A nice song about marrying the person you love. AJ had written this song about the girl he was dating at that time who he thought he was going to marry.
It's True: This song had already been released on those Burger King CDs. It's a sweet song with nice vocals.
How Did I Fall In Love With You: The best song on this album, in my opinion. It's a very beautiful song that Howie wrote about falling in love with your best friend.
