The Backstreet Boys are considered a "boy band" by many, but this album will sure prove people wrong. Backstreet have matured a lot in this album. They wrote two of the fourteen songs and co-wroted five. 1. The Call: Starts off with a ringing telephone. An up-beat song about a guy who cheats on his girl. Different from other Backstreet songs. Very catchy chorus. Sure to be the next single.
2. Shape of My Heart: I'm sure by now everyone has heard this wonderful song. Great ballad and pleasing harmonies.
3. Get Another Boyfriend: Uptempo song packed with powerful sounds.
4. Shining Star: You need to listen to this a few times to like it, but other than that, it's a really uptempo vibe and has an excellent chorus.
5. I Promise You (With Everything I Am): Very beautiful ballad. The boys harmonize well.
6. The Answer To Our Life: This song proves the boys have excellent song-writing talent. A Backstreet classic. Very catchy.
7. Everyone: An uptempo song dedicated to BSB fans. Great song for dancing.
8. More Than That: Another ballad filled with great beats.
9. Time: Another great song written by the boys. Soft ballad.
10. Not For Me: Very interesting chorus. Excellent beat. Tough and edgy.
11. Yes I Will: Sweet ballad. A slight of R&B.
12. It's True: Slow ballad full of great sounds and brilliant vocals.
13. What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful): Flattering and beautiful song.
14. How Did I Fall In Love With You: The most beautiful song on the album. The boys sang excellent in this one. Very soft.
This is a must have album, even if your not a Backstreet fan. It's filled with phenomenal songs, and the boys sing wonderfully! Black and Blue proves they're still kings of the world.

2. Shape Of My Heart - I love this song! It has great music, a cool beat and excellent lyrics! This is one of the best Backstreet Boys songs ever!
3. Get Another Boyfriend - This is not only the best song on the album, but the best Backstreet Boys song ever! It has a great beat, and great music and lyrics! It's about the Boys telling a girl that her boyfriend isn't worthy of her love. This would make an EXCELLENT single! 5/5
4. Shining Star - Even though it's not the best, this song has a great beat to it. 4/5
5. I Promise You (With Everything I Am) - This is OK, it is a little slow, but the lyrics are beautiful. 3/5
6. The Answer To Our Life - A great, upbeat song! I love the beat, music and lyrics. This could possibly be a single off this album. 5/5
7. Everyone - This is a kind of cheesy song. I don't like the lyrics. The music isn't very cool either. 2/5
8. More Than That - This is a kind of sweet song. The lyrics are nice. 3.5/5
9. Time - Backstreet Boys made a nice effort with this song. The lyrics are nice. 4/5
10. Not For Me - This is a cool song with neat background music and lyrics. I liked it. 4.5/5
11. Yes I Will - This was a pretty good song. I liked the lyrics. It was kind of a slow beat, though. 4/5
12. It's True - This song is beautiful! I love the lyrics and music. What a good song! 4.5/5
13. How Did I Fall In Love With You - I liked this song because of it's lyrics. 4/5

"Black & Blue" by the Backstreet BoysI don't care what other people say! This is their best album yet. They have matured much. I can't wait to hear more from them.
I am also going to mention the bonus track, "What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful)"!!
1. The Call: ***- I am not as fond of this as others, but it is neat. This is odd, and different!! I like BSB, because they are trendsetters. This is one of their strangest songs!
2. Shape of My Heart: *****- I love this!! This is better than "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely", IMO.
3. Get Another Boyfriend: ****-Cool. This is better than "The Call" and I thought that this SHOULDA been a single!!
4. Shining Star: ***- See #1.
5. I Promise You (With Everything I Am): *****- Now we get into their gorgeous ballads!! I like this.
6. The Answer to Our Life: *****- Pretty good!!
7. Everyone: **- My least fave on the album, even though it was written for the fanz!!
8. More Than That: ****- Not their best, but still good!!
9. Time: *****- One of my top five BSB songs!! Really good, and it makes you think!!
10. Not For Me: ****- Cute. This would have also been better than "The Call" for a single!!
11. Yes I Will: *****- AJ wrote this. This is another one of my top five fave songs!! Soooooooo romantic!!
12. It's True: ****- Cute!!
13. How Did I Fall in Love With You: ****- Like this. It was written by Howie (And it is good), but it is not as good as the next one!!
14. What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful): *****- This is why I HATE bonus tracks!! This is one of BSB sweetest and best written songs!! Written by Howie, and really good!

Free Music Review: Backstreet Did it Again!

I have been an avid fan of the Backstreet Boys since the second time I heard "I Want it That Way." I have converted my entire family into Backstreet fans, and Black and Blue had a lot of expectation laid on it. After the smash hit of Millenium, who knew if Backstreet could turn out another great CD? I'm happy to say, it did not dissappoint. The CD opens with the "powerful" (for lack of a better word) song, "The Call," and at first the boys seem to have lost their calling: excellent vocal work. However, it works. "The Call" is an awesome track, which will hook you for the entire CD. Next comes "Shape of My Heart," the beautiful ballad penned by mastermind Max Martin. Reminiscent of "IWITW" and "As Long as You Love Me," hard core fans can rest assured that Backstreet remembers their roots. Other upbeat songs such as "Get Another Boyfriend" and "Not For Me" are also highlights of the CD. "The Answer to Our Life" flows with great harmony and lead vocal work, as the boys belt out a song solely written by them. Probably one of the best on the album, this is a song truly to be enjoyed. By far, the standout ballad on the disc is "How Did I Fall (in Love with You)." One word: beautiful. The lyrics are heart-tugging, the vocal work is incredible, and anyone that is truly a romantic at heart will fall for this song. This CD is very well-rounded. From track one, "The Call," to track thirteen, "How did I Fall," this CD would fit anywhere from a dance club to a romantic dinner at home. Here's my review. here are the keys: 1/10 horrible 2/10 very bad 3/10 bad but OK 4/10 could be better 5/10 OK but skippable 6/10 getting there 7/10 good 8/10 great 9/10 excellent 10/10 the vest1. The Call- 5/10- this song is the latest single. It's OK and all but I usllay skip it.
2. Shape Of My Heart- 9/10- this song is one of my favorites.
3. Get Another Boyfriend-8/10- it's pretty good but certain parts are a little annoying.
4. Shining Star-9/10- great. The BSB wrote this song. It's OK the chorus gets old.
5. I promise You (With everything I AM)-10/10- wonderdul ballad. Beautiful song. recommend for someone who liked Back To Your Heart from Mullennium,
6. The Answer To Our Life- 10/10- this is my absolute favorite song (Actually it's tied with Aaron Carter's Jump Jump). It's a cool, upbeat song. I could listen to it alll day. I heard it's going to be their 4th single off of Black&Blue.
7. Everybody- 7/10- at firswt I loved it but it gets old. Not like their other song ofr their fans Everybody (Backstreet's Back) that grows on you.
8. More Than That- 10/10- next single. Beautiful ballad, One of the stronger songs on the albu,m. GREAT vocals.
9. Time- 9/10- great song. strong vocals. great.
10. Not For Me- 6/10- it's OK. Not the best.
11.Yes I Will- 9/10- great song.. most great vocals.
12. It's True- 10/10- this song was the absolute best besides More Than That and Answer to our life . it's a beautiful song.
13. How Did I fall In Love With You- 9/10- anotehr beautiufl ballad.
All in all, a great album. Mostly the ballads are stronger and better. Their vocals show better. My fave upbeat is The Answer to Our Life. Great follow-up.
