It took me a while to think about getting this CD, because I heard mixed reviews about it. But now that I have it, its great! Its got some songs which are a lot like the ones off of Millennium.The Call-This is going to be thier next single i heard. This song is really cool, and sounds like a phone call (you have to listen to the beginning).
Shape Of My Heart-This is the song that everyone is fimilar with by now. Sounds like "I Want It That Way".
Get Another B/F-This song is one of my faves.
Shining Star-This has to be my least fave song off of B&B. Sounds a lot like "It's Gotta Be You". Still OK though...
I Promise You...-If this song is released, it would definately rival w/ N Sync's "This I Promise You"!!
Answer To Our Life-This is a cute, upbeat song.
Everyone-Complete and utter twin of "Larger than Life", it has the same theme and idea to it, just different lyrics.
More Than That-This is also another fave of mine. Great song!
Time-This is another song about thier mothers'. It is a great, well-written song!
Not For Me-This song has a great beat, awesome.
Yes I Will-This song is SO cute. This could be about Brian and Kevin's wives.
It's True-This song is beautiful.
How Did I Fall in Love...-Kind of a long title, lol. Anyways, this is a GREAT ending to the CD. Howie's voice is beautiful!
Now one thing I have to say about the cover art, it could have been better! I thought it was kinda plain looking. A cool design would be nice, like the design on the CD.
Free Music Review: BSB HAVE DONE IT AGAIN

As I tell everyone,this is pop music and darn good at that. I happen to be a guy fan (yes,we're out there) One thing I must commend BSB on is their growing adult and male fanbase. Their music is maturing. Their past the "We've Got It Going On" days although they indeed still have it going on!Now,the music of Black and Blue. Although not quite as flowing as "Millennium" was,it's still an amazing pop album. Millennnium was one in a million and there will never be another like it. Black and Blue DOES have more of a variety,however. It has the perfect wedding song (I Promise You),the perfect graduation song (Time),the perfect dance song (Get Another Boyfriend),and the perfect ballad. Also,many of the tracks were written by BSB! (gasps) You heard me right,people. BSB can write AND they all do unlike another group which will remain nameless. "Shining Star","Answer To Our Life","Time","Yes I Will","It's True","How Did I Fall In Love With You",and "What Makes You Different" (bonus track) were all written or cowritten by BSB. Also,another thing which may shock you is that many of the tracks written by BSB happen to be some of the best tracks on the album! BSB are turning into true artists although many are not willing to admitt it. They showed us they could do it on Millennium and now they're taking it even further. BSB,I'm looking forward to what you're going to do on the next album and I have a feeling I'm not going to be disappointed.

This new album is the biggest hit for BSB! It is an awesome album with the up-tempoed future #1 singles such as The Call (the next single for BSB, and an over-all great song that has played over and over in my head for the past 6 days!), Get Another Boyfriend (Different beginning than any of their other songs, Great Song to play while driving!), Shining Star (any Nick or Howie fans HAVE to listen to this song especially, I'm a Brian fan and I love this song, Fantistic Beat, Go Howie hittin' those high notes very well!), The Answer To Our Life (Another Uplifting song, You know one of those pick-me-up-when-I'm-not-happy type of songs), Everyone (One of the sweet songs that show the true side of BSB, written for the fans with cute circus music in the middle of the song, Ya gotta hear this song!), Not For Me (Talking a girl that's caught in the middle of two guys and The guys are telling them it's not like that, Great song!). Then You know It's True and Shape Of My Heart which were awesome, their slower tempoed songs such as I Promise You With Everything I Am (a pretty love song that would be great to play at a BSB fans' wedding and would have been sweet if Brian or Kevin would have played it at their weddings for Leighanne and Kristin)were also very awesome and pretty. If you are thinking about buying this album, which I anticipate and am pretty sure is gonna have a phenominal sales record, I DEFINATELY recommend you buying it. It shows real growth in the band's sound and you won't be dissapointed in any of the songs!!Free Music Review: Excellent, they absolutely did it again!!!

The first time I heard this album I was kinda dissapointed, but then I decided to analize it and believe me I was totally wrong.1. The call: This song is great probably you all know it by now so...
2. Shape of my heart: I loved it!! This is a very tender ballad. Not my favorite song of the album but is certainly one of the best.
3. Get another boyfriend: If I have to choose my favorite up-tempo song of this album this is the one. Good lyrics + good voices + good rythm= good song.
4. Shining star: I personally don't like this song.
5. I promise you (with everything I am): This is a great ballad, although it kinda reminds me "This I promise you".
6. The answer to our life: THE BEST SONG OF ALL TIMES!! THIS IS THE BEST SONG OF THE ALBUM. AND THE BEST THING OF ALL IS THAT THE GUYS THEMSELVES WROTE IT.
7. Everyone: "So this one goes out to..." US they're fans, as they said the "Larger than life" of "Black and Blue".
8. More than that: A terrific ballad. The guys sound excellent in this song.
9. Time:It's basically about all the've been through all these years, a very sentimental song.
10. Not for me: This is a great song, funky and funny at the time.
11. Yes I will: Totally different song, it's great.
12. It's true: I loved this song, it's tender and absolutely gorgeous.
13. How did I fall in love with you: THE BEST BALLAD OF THE ALBUM, HOWIE IS A GENIUS!!
Believe me, if you buy this album, you may not like it at first but you will not regret later.
Free Music Review: Another Brick in the Wall

To all of those people out there who condemn this album due to its content or display of talent are missing the point entirely. This album is obviously not intended for you. This album is intended for the masses of impressionable youths who have yet to step out of the boundaries of the mainstream and discover their own distinct charecter. Music in this style is an important stage in the development of human individuality. Aristotle has taught us that only through mimesis, the mimicking of others around us, does the human charecter actually develop into its own personality and creative being. If music such as the aforementioned album and others like it did not exist, what widespread collective personality would teenagers have to adopt at the principal stages of their charecter's development? These pop icons have provided this platform while simultaneously giving their legions of fans great enjoyment during their adolescent years. Although a great many other people must endure the constant bombardment of their individuality by these works, it serves their audience well. Can anybody recall the New Kids on the Block? Although I listened to their music and had my seventh birthday at one of their concerts, I can hardly say that I am still a dedicated fan of that forgotten quintet. Albums of this style will inevitably exist in any era of America's musical timeline. There is no need to berate it unless, of course, your thirty-year old cousin and his parents start listening to it as well.
