Free Music Notes for Black & BlueFree Music Review: they're back and better than ever Hit: 5 Stars
For all of you people who said that they're glad that they're gone..guess what..they're not. though i don't even know where you would get that idea. and they're coming back with another album. ANYWAY... this cd is a great album following MILLENIUM. I love every song (except for shining star.lol.) and that's nearly impossible since i am a very picky person.
The Call has a good message about the consequences of cheating and the vocals are powerful, and of course it has a catchy beat.
Shape of My Heart is a good song..but not one of my faves.
I loved Get Another Boyfriend and it should have been a single. very catchy song.
My favorites would have to be I Promise you..great singing by Brain..(of course).. and a really sweet song..The Answer to Our Lives is just a really unforgettable song for me..very heartfelt..the same with Everyone. another song to the fans and i thank them cause it was a great effort. i loved time ..(there was even a tear here and there). very sad song..which made me think about all the good times in my life also..
Of course Not For Me..very very good beat and they sound great..and lastly i loved how did i fall in love with you..wow..what a sad and beautiful song at the same time..gave me chills.
Overall i have to say..they are getting much better and they're maturing well. they haven't gone anywhere and they're not leaving anytime soon. if you dont have this album already..GO OUT AND BUY IT. it is definitely worth it.
Free Music Review: Backstreet's Back, Alright! Hit: 5 Stars
This is the Backstreet Boys's best album. I got this album as a gift and it has the best songs. BSB harmonize very well and the catchy uptempo tracks are awesome!1. The Call: It's a very good song. Nice chorus and great beat. Very danceable. 2. Shape of My Heart: You will definitley not get tired of this. Even if I heard this a million times on the radio, it gets better every time, unlike Bye, Bye, Bye and It's Gonna Be Me by N'Stink. 3. Get Another Boyfriend: Great song! I love the tune. It has a wonderful chorus. 4. Shining Star: It's an okay song. Very danceable though. 5. I Promise You (With Everything I Am): Absolutely wonderful. One of the best ballads BSB has ever produced! 6. The Answer to Our Life: My absolute fav! I LOVE the chorus and the singing is shocking, sweet, and beautiful. 7. Everyone: Okay, it's a mix between Larger than Life and Everybody. Nice party tune though. 8. More Than That: Very nice. I also like the chorus. Very sweet ballad. 9. Time: Very good. Sweet and touching. 10. Not For Me: This was okay. Not the best of the best, but not terrrible either. 11. Yes I Will: Very heart-melting. What else could I say? 12. It's True: Very Nice and Fantastic. The boys sing like angels. 13. How Did I Fall in Love With You: Bravo, BSB! This was a GREAT, slow, and sweet ballad. Excelllent way to end the album. This was a GREAT CD. It is perfect and has everything an awesome CD needs. YOU JUST GOTTA BUY IT! It's totally worth it!
Free Music Review: Black and Blue vs Celebrity - RESULT: Black & Blue won! Hit: 5 Stars
I love BSB and their latest effort Black & Blue. It's really good musically and lyrically. Makes them an outstanding and prominent among others. I admit N Sync's Celebrity is good too and it's doing quite well. Despite that I believe they will never beat BSB. Backstreet Boys were the ones who first started the mordern boyband phenomenon and I respect them for it. What N Sync really lacks is originality, overall good lyrics, good vocals (capared to BSB that is) and teamwork (let Lance, Christ and Joey sing too). That's what makes BSB and Black & Blue better than N Sync and Celebrity, respectively. (Compare the following songs with 'The Call', 'Shape of My Heart', 'Get Another Boyfriend', 'Shining Star', 'I promise you (...)' and 'The Answer To Our Life', well I think BSB's songs are better) The only goos songs in Celebrity are 'Pop', 'Gone', 'The Game is Over', 'Just don't tell me that', 'Something Like You' and 'Selfish'. BSB are cuter and more hot too. I know N Sync fans will disagree with this statement.Don't get me wrong guys, Celebrity does have some good elements, MUSIC (but some songs have decent lyrics too) and that's IT! While Black & Blue has everything, good good, nice vocals and great music . Nick, AJ, Brian, Howie and Kevin always sound awesome. I like Justin's voice too but sometimes he does sound so whiny (listen to 'Pop', you'll get me). What's wrong with him? Oh well at least he's good for ballads. ...
Free Music Review: The real meaning for "Black and Blue" Hit: 5 Stars
Black and Blue has a real meaning. Enough, of the "media offense," thing. It really means the mix of the sounds that the colors Black and Blue represent. The Black is 'N Sync's in-your-face R&B "dirty" pop (Note the black outfits 'N Sync is wearing on the cover of NSA.) The Blue is the light hearted melodies and smooth baladry of Millennium, "Note the blue color theme throughout the Millennium album sleeve and CD design.) Put them together, and add them to the basic, more simplistic style of The first Backstreet Boys or 'N Sync cd and what do you have? An incredibly well performed and crafted Cd called Black and Blue. This Cd really is amazing. The catchy hook and beats of "Get Another Boyfriend" really grab you and make you wanna hit repeat again and again and again. "I Promise You" is one of the best ballads ever, and you can really feel the emotion put behind it. "Everyone" is great. Think a mix of the concept of Larger Than Life, with the One type backgrounds. "The Answer To Our Lives" is simple and sounds so eerily familiar that you warm up to it right away. Plus, "The Call" is original and well crafted, we all know and love "Shape Of My Heart" and "It's True," and The album closer is amazing. When you combine two huge blockbusters, and add a hint of two other block busters, where can u go wrong?
Free Music Review: Still going strong Hit: 5 Stars
In the past I was a bit of a Backstreet Boys fanatic, and though I've gotten over the obsessiveness, I am still a big fan. Black & Blue represents a growth, and I think it was a bit of a therapy for the Boys, finally being in charge of their musical destiny. Where it somehow falls short of the perfectness of Millennium, it's a strong follow-up. There are a large variety of songs on the album, ranging from the strange techno-latin beat of "The Call" to the beautiful piano ballad, "How Did I Fall In Love With You." From beginning to end, this album is a pleaser. The Backstreet Boys have such strong vocals that they can make just about any song sound decent, and it's easy to listen to this CD the whole way through. Some of my favorites are "The Call" (I love the concept and the unique style), "Get Another Boyfriend" (it's impossibly catchy), "Shining Star" (more r&b, very fun vocals from Nick and AJ), "More Than That" (one of my favorite Backstreet Boys songs ever, it's gorgeous), "Not For Me" (when I listen to it, I feel their personalities come out. It really seems like they were having fun singing this song) and "How Did I Fall In Love With You," the haunting closer. While I may grow tired of "Yes I Will", "Time" and "Everyone," the good tracks make up for the weaker ones.
