Free Music Notes for MillenniumFree Music Review: BACKSTREET'S BEST Hit: 5 Stars
Don't listen to what other people when they say Backstreet is only famous because their hot and their music is pure bubblegum or teenybopper. That's nothing but lies. Sure, they ARE the hottest guys on the planet, but their music has matured since they began their careers. In fact, it's always been mature. Just listen to the song "Like a Child" from one of their import albums and you'll see what I mean. So, they don't write their lyrics or music. What's wrong with that? But even so hey wrote 1/3 of the songs (4 0f them) on this album. If they can sing and from their hearts that's all that matters."Larger Than Life" is a song expressing their love and thanks to all their fans. Who else does that? This proves that nothing's got to their heads. They're the sweetest. They're always talking about how much their fans do for them. And I'm more than proud to be a fan! That means they love ME! Anyway, "I Want It That Way" ofcourse is a hit, and all worthy to be one. "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" is a great ballad. "It's Gotta Be You" is peppy and HOT! Nick's voice is GORGEOUS when he sings his solo, "I Need You Tonight". That's such a beautiful song, I don't know how it COULDN'T be a hit! "Don't Want You Back" has a beat and an attitude! It's really cool and "Don't Wanna Lose You Now" is SOOO sweet and made me cry! Then "The One", "Back To Your Heart", "Spanish Eyes", "No One Else Comes Close" and "The Perfect Fan" are all SOOO sweet! If like emotional, soulful, meaningful music, songs sung by 5 great voices, you MUST get this CD! AND BSB, IF ANY OF YOU READ THIS I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW I'M ONE OF YOUR BIGGEST FANS! AND I SPEAK FOR ALL YOUR OTHER FANS WHEN I SAY I LOVE YOU! ESPECIALLY YOU, NICK!
Free Music Review: Better than the other 2. Worth its price! Hit: 5 Stars
I was turned on to the BSB by my seven year old niece(I'm 35). She has the 2 European CDs,(actually we both do), Backstreet Boys and Backstreets back. They both contain some really good songs(i'll never break your heart, get down, 10,000 promises, That's what she said, etc). But they also both contain alot of "filler songs." Even when they combined the 2 European cds, for the American cd, they made some BAD Choices. With Millenium, they seemed to have corrected the song choice problem. Of the 12 songs, 10 of them are first rate(They could have cut out the last 2 songs on the cd, and no one would have missed them). Songs like "Don't want you back" with its jack swing, and the negative type lyrics made me realize that these boys aren't all sugar. "Larger than Life" is an anthem, for the fans. And boy will the fans love it.( When my niece got this cd, she listenened to this song a dozen times before she went to the next song). It will probably be the second single. These are 2 of the best songs they have done to date. Balladwise, there are some top notched A/C ready songs here: Spanish eyes, Dont want to lose you, back to your heart, and the awesome Show me the meaning of Being lonely. This song also conveys some of their best work to date. Critics say they may not be around "tomorrow". But if they continue in their growth, and try not to be so "Cute", they may grow up, to be real musical performers. They were the first of the current boyband mania, and this cd shows why. I can't wait to see how NSYNC tries to copy this cd.(Did any of you notice how much NSYNCS songs sound like the BSBs songs--read Everybody/I want you back). If I didn't buy this already, I would buy it. Besides, the kids will love it too!
Free Music Review: backstreet boys- i am so glad you are back Hit: 5 Stars
they are the best group i've ever heard- in my opinion. they can harmonize and sing. why is everyone calling them "five white boys that can't sing" or "they are a boy band that don't write their own music"? if critics spent time actually researching their information, they would find out that nick and kevin play drums and guitar in concert sometimes on tour, and they co-wrote four songs on the "millenium" cd.they didn't write songs on "backstreet boys". that was their first cd and people are still saying that! for your information, madonna and michael jackson didnt write their own songs when they started either. they grew into it. "i want it that way", "larger than life", "show me the meaning of being lonely", "it's gotta be you", "don't want you back", and "don't wanna lose you now" are the best songs on the cd."i want it that way" is the song everyone has heard, so i won't explain that. "'larger than life" has a kind of rock appeal to it. it's dedicated to their fans and it's great to dance to. "show me the meaning of being lonely" is sad when you learn what it means. it's dedicated to one of their producers, denniz pop, who died of cancer last year. it's one of their best ballads, i think. "it's gotta be you" is a funky dnace track. it's kind of like "everybody (backstreet's back)" in terms of the beat, kind of. "don't want you back" is just downright awesome! they are saying forget you, to ex-girlfriends. they don't want you back, so whatever to you." don't wanna lose you now" is a great ballad. it's kind of like " as long as you love me" from the other cd.
Free Music Review: Music Chronicles 0003 Hit: 5 Stars
Before I begin, I want to say a few things:
(a) The BSB do write their own music, or at least some of it.
(b) Just because they don't play instruments is no reason to dislike a band, you can't deny good music.
(c) Actually listen to the music before you review.
Anyway, I have this album and it is very very good. I am not a hard-core fan, but I have all albums and they are very talented vocalists. Here are my reviews:
1. Larger Than Life--This song is aerodynamic. It has a cool funky vibe that I appreciate. Plus, it's a shoutout to their fans. Good song. 9
2. I Want It That Way--Who can deny pop's king song? I think this is very amazing and nice vocals from the BSB. 10
3. Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely--Good song about losing those you love. The Spanish guitar has grown on me. 8
4. It's Gotta Be You--Funky, fun. Nice when you're in he dumps. 9
5. I Need You Tonight--My second favorite on the album. Nick does not have a very clean voice, but I rather like the mix of a clean song and raspy voice. 10
6. Don't Want You Back--OK. It's not something to rave about, but it's ok. 7
7. Don't Wanna Lose You Now--My least favorite. Nice vocals, but the song itself is a little tedious. 5
8. The One--NICE MIX!!! I realy like it...third favorite song. 9
9. Back To Your Heart--Tied for my favorite song...Brian has beautiful vocals. 10
10. Spanish Eyes--It's OK. 7
11. No One Else Comes Close--See above. 7
12. Perfect Fan--Amazing ode to their moms. I played this on mother's day. My other favorite. 10
I reccomend their new album: Never Gone.
Free Music Review: Backstreet's back ALRIGHT! Hit: 5 Stars
Millennium was a great CD. I'll go through it song by song.1.Larger Than Life- A GREAT dance tune. This song is about BSB's appreciation to their fans-do you really think *NSTINK would have something like this on their CD? (2nd single)2.I Want It That Way- Come on, you've all heard this on the radio! (1st single)3.Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely- A realy sad song about losing someone in life. A nice, slow tune. (3rd single)4.It's Gotta Be You- Wow! This song is more of a peppy, bubble gum song. It's still really great. Kind of like "If You Want It To Be Good Girl" from their debut album. 5.I Need You Tonight- A great slow tune. This song showcases Nick's vocals, as he sings lead throughout. Really, really good.6.Don't Want You Back- High enery, high base, a song that really smacks you and says, "DANCE! "7.Don't Wanna Lose You Now- A great slowish type of song with a good beat.8.The One- This one really fools you by starting out slow, but after the first chorus, it picks up speed, and WHAM! Another hit! (4th single)9.Back To Your Heart- A really moving romantic ballad. Excellent.10.Spanish Eyes- A really jumpy song- gives you mixed feelings, but altogether great.11.No One Else Comes Close- This song really winds down the album, in my opinion. Not their best work, but OK 12.The Perfect Fan- This song is the best one on their whole CD! Brian wrote it FOR HIS MOM! As the lyrics go, "...Cuz Mom, you always were...the perfect fan...I love you mom." and "God has been so good/Blessing me with family/Who did all they could..." A really great ballad with a choir singing in the climax of the song. Really wraps up the CD, saying "We love you mom, thank you" Another song you wouldn't see on *NSTINK's CD.There you have it! Buy Millennium!
