I love country music and of course Dolly is included in my collection. When I first heard Dolly with Porter I knew this Lady would make it big.
Her voice is unique and her songs are one of a kind. There is no one out there who could ever sing like Dolly. I bought this cd and Wow I am so glad I did. I play this in my car, my computer everywhere I can. The songs are great. I can't say I have a favorite on her cd, I just love em all. Dolly can take a song and make it her own. On this cd you are truly listening to a true country singer. After all isn't that what country music is about, singing from the heart. If you truly love country music, this is a cd you have to add to your collection.

Dolly Parton is truly a living legend. This album is incredible! The lyrics, the melodies, it's fantastic! If you are a true Dolly fan, then of course, buy this album. If you are new to Dolly, and a fan of the newer country, BUY THIS ALBUM! From spiritual songs like Jesus and Gravity, to songs with the Dolly flare her fans are use too, like Backwoods Barbie, this album does not dissapoint! How can anyone not love Dolly? She just personifies Country Music and she's so beautiful and talented and funny and brilliant. But most of all, she's the best! I think this CD is for longtime fans who enjoy classic country (like myself) just as much as it's for Dolly's new fans who also enjoy contemporary and modern/everyday country. I enjoy all of the songs on the CD because as usual Dolly's voice is strong and her lyrics are very beautiful. It's difficult to say which is my favorite, if I had to choose I'd probably take "Backwoods Barbie" because it's such a danceable song that has Dolly written all over it! Who do I recommend this CD to? Anybody, even if you don't like country, you may enjoy the Backwoods Barbie CD because Dolly has a way of speaking to everyone. So try it, you may be surprised. I have all the songs on my iPod and my favorite time to listen to this is when I'm busy cleaning my kitchen or scrubbing the floors because it always makes the time go by that much quicker. I also really like the packaging, instead of being in those traditional plastic jewel cases, the CD is housed in a paper/cardboard case which just seems so much easier to get to and much better on the environment. ...The bargain store is open, come inside!
