"Backwoods Barbie" is dollys best work in years! dolly sees herself returning to more of the mainstream country music scene! the new single "jesus and gravity" is one of the best singles i have ever heard! dollys brings new life into the remakes "tracks of my tears" and "drive me crazy"- every single song on this cd is great! dollys vocals are strong and pure! "only dreamin" is one of dollys best vocal songs she has ever recorded! this cd should be in everybodys home/car!Free Music Review: Dolly at her best!

This album is truly one of the best albums that Dolly has ever done! Songs range from classic country of Backwoods Barbie, reminiscent of the Coat of Many Colors era, to the poppy remake of Drives Me Crazy. No matter what your favoite type of Dolly music is (she is her own genre!), you will find songs that you will love and cherish! Dolly wrote most of hte songs on the album and she is at her best songwriting and singing as well! It's a must have!Free Music Review: Wow!

My interests as a listener and musician tend to focus on jazz. I bought this disc for our 8 year old daughter, who has starting listening to country on the radio (don't ask me where she got this). This is an excellent CD. It's definitely not "pure" old school country - it has a strong pop/rock flavor. Great songs, great honest song writing and a kick-ass band. Dolly is really amazing. I have been a Dolly fan for years so I wasn't surprised to enjoy this new album, but I was surprised by how much I thoroughly enjoyed it. 'Better Get to Livin' and 'Jesus and Gravity' are definitely my favorites. They are both so positive and uplifting I could listen to them over and over. Any fan of pure music and songwriting will love this album if you give it a chance. How can you not love Dolly?
