Free Music Review: My kids stopped fighting because of this CD

I had bought this CD in preparation for a long car ride with my 2 boys (3 and 4 years old). Before we left, they were fighting about everything and driving me crazy (no pun intended). When we got in the car, I put this CD in, and it was magic--the boys were entranced, humming along, talking about the songs, saying which songs were the best (the first one). For the end of the fight alone, this CD was worth its money. We're going on a long road trip this summer, and I'm definitely bringing this CD along.
To be honest, I liked the songs too. The first song is Elvis-ish, the second is blues, the third is disco...it's a musical style mix tape! And the kids on the disc can sing. Impressive.

this cd is always in my car radio, 1 of 6. I come from a music background and having a diverse musical taste really appreciate the show- I have I LOVED the diverse music selections and the show sing alongs. They're right off the show- everything from samba, tango to country and ballads. I play this at kiddie parties and they're a classic hit with even the adults, reluctant at first, but eventually jamming along. lol! my friend took out his bass and me the bongos and jammed along. definitely worth the buy, still listening to it and never gets old.Free Music Review: Another winner!

My kids LOVE this CD. We also have the first one they came out with (The Backyardigans) which is great as well! They will listen to this over and over and over again. I have to admit, as far as children's music goes, these CDs are some of the LEAST annoying ones out there. I often find myself humming the tunes around the house. The reviewer clearly has no apprecication for diversity. My whole family enjoys listening and watching the backyardigans. It is finally some music we can all enjoy and play while driving anywhere. I love it so much I even sing along. The music promotes appreciation for all styles of music. My kids spend more time dancing now that we have the cds. Who can argue with kids getting more exercise. We LOVE this CD. Our kids love the Backyardigans, but we actually listened to the previous CD's before we ever watched the program. What's nice about this is that the music isn't dumbed down, it's all sorts of international music produced very professionally with fun and funny lyrics. My husband and I enjoy it as much as our kids do and if you've ever spent a long car ride listening to children's music...you know that is saying A LOT!
