I bought this CD as a gift for my daughter and, much to my delight, it has turned out to be a treat for the whole family. I think this show does much to encourage a love of music in children and to expose them to the seemingly infinite variety of musical styles that exist in the world. The lyrics are cute and fun and I find myself singing along with my daughter. In fact, I sometimes find these songs running through my head while I'm at work. If I ever met the creator of this show, I would thank her profusely for dreaming up something so gentle and sweet and fun for children that is also entertaining for parents.Free Music Review: It is a perfect kids CD- wont get annoying

If you are like me and dont like to generally buy the "childish annoying" kids music this is for you. I have NEVER wanted to buy some of the other kids music out ther for the pure fact it was annoying. They seem to push out mediocre CDS from favorite characters just for kicks. Others often lack any substance that make you want to listen to them more then once.
That is where Backyardigans is different. Fun songs, that are upbeat, catchy and not annoying. BAckyaridgan taps it's musical inspiration from all genres out there that we listen to. They are not simple silly kids music.
THey are refreshing!

Finally! A CD my kids love that I don't mind being trapped in the minivan with! I like the Backyardigans show for its real-kid characters, encouragement of imagination, and diverse musical styles. The CD offers our favorite songs from the show, but they are even better when you get a chance to listen to them more closely.
If you're like me, you get tired of the same kids' songs CDs where the style is basically the same, and you've heard the songs so much, you block them out. But this CD has so many styles of music (from reggae to disco), and the lyrics are so clever, you will enjoy listening to them.

We bought the "Groove" CD first and loved it. Bought this one and love it too. It includes faster and slower songs and it's so much fun to have the kids sing a mermaid lullaby to you or a gentle castaway song while they are walking around just because it's in their head. It gets the whole family humming and singing and dancing. We're big fans on the show from preschool to elementary. The variation of styles expose the children to rhythms they might not have listened to if not for the show and characters. Great fun!!!Free Music Review: *NO NEED TO REALLY REVIEW.......

THERE AREN'T TOO MANY PRODUCTS THAT CAN GET A PERFECT REVIEW SCORE. THERE WAS NO NEED FOR ONE MORE RAVE REVIEW, BUT I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE BACKYARDIGANS. WHEN MY KIDS AREN'T EVEN AROUND I FIND MYSELF SINGING THE BACKYARDIGAN TUNES. I WAS A FAN EVERY SINCE THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THE THEME SONG. I LOVE THE VOCALS. THE CHILDREN WHO SING FOR THE CHARACTERS ARE VERY TALENTED. A COUPLE OF THEM ARE EVEN FAMOUS FOR THEIR SINGING. IF YOU LOVE MUSIC, YOU'LL LOVE THIS CD. YOU MIGHT EVEN FORGET IT'S FOR KIDS.
