Free Music Review: What we've come to expect from Nick Cave
Hit: 5 Stars

I've only recently been interested in Nick Cave. My best friend was a huge Nick Cave fan so I had always been mildy aware of his music. However, I got a chance to listen to this new album about a week after it came out and I was blown away. I love this album! Nick has learned to successfully skate the line of romaticism and humor. The carefully crafted love songs of "And No More Shall We Part" and "Love Letter" are offset by the striking imagery in "Oh My Lord." This album holds none of the sick, twisted anthems of his past (i.e. "The Carny"). Listening to this album is pure bliss.

No More Shall We Part is as strong of a release as Let Love In. Nick Cave once again writes lyrics that sound like poetry at its finest. And no more shall we part is a beautifull and intensly personal track that tugs at the heart strings. He sings on this album with a frank and personal touch. The cover painting was done by Tony Clark. To me it looks like a childs drawing so I do not understand the point in not just asking a child to paint something instead of paying this hack of an artist. The font is very nice on the inside. The photograph looks bad but I guess it was something like art for arts sake.

Free Music Review: Haunting
Hit: 5 Stars

I've had this album since it came out in 2001, and felt that I had to write something about it. I'm a big Nick Cave fan, have pretty much all of his albums, and this is the most amazing one. (My second fave is Murder Ballads - also beautiful and macabre.) It is so incredibly beautiful, but at the same time mysterious and haunting. Every time I listen to it, year after year, it almost brings me to tears. The music and lyrics are so powerful - it reminds me of how Edgar Allen Poe would sound to music. Just simply breathtaking.

The most brilliant album of all time. Nothing can compare to this one.

Free Music Review: Intense Fire
Hit: 5 Stars

Possibly Nick Cave's most elaborate album and definitely his most intense one.

Everything here puts across extreme labor and passion from Cave-there's the length(over 65 minutes),the full orchestral sound achieved by the band, the care dispensed to the cover and booklet's graphic design and there's an extra amount of attention, from the already notoriously obsessive songwriter,to the lyrics and imagery here present.

One of the most impressive albums unleashed upon this world by Nick Cave&the Bad Seeds and the perfect companion for a dark, rainy night.

Hit: 5 Stars

Another stunning, melodic if not dramatic album from the brooding artist Nick Cave and his backing band the Bad Seeds. "No More Shall We Part" is a gorgeous album filled with superb melodies. "As I Sat Sadly By Her Side" is a breathtaking epic ballad, the best I have heard from Nick Cave in a long time, same can be said about "And No More Shall We Part". The McGarrigle sisters' contributions to the album made for an excellent addition. All and all, wonderful cd and another cd to add to my growing list of favorite cds of 2001.
