Many words have been written about Badfinger being Beatlesqueand the tragedies surrounding the band and its members.But it is the beautiful music that still stirs feelings after all this time.It is nearly impossible to pick standout tracks on this near flawless collection.If listening to this does not move you you are a far harder soul than i am.Track after track,from No Matter What,all the way through to the conclusion are proof that the very best of Badfinger,is better than the best of almost anything else.I dare say some people will find it near sacreligous but Pete Ham and his band top the Beatles at times with the beauty of their work.Buy it without reservation.Free Music Review: Nicely done

All too many times in recent years a Badfinger compilation has come along trying to pass itself off as a "greatest hits" collection and wildly missing the mark. This is the first one that hasn't disappointed me by either dismissing "Ass", (the excellent final Apple album,) or the two equally excellent Warner Brothers albums. While I'm aware that there is no such thing as the perfect greatest hits album for everyone, this one at least gives a measured overview of the career of a band that had it all and lost it so tragically.Free Music Review: SUPERIOR REMASTERING

I have slogged thru all the available domestic and import Badfinger discs, including all the Japan mini-sleeves. Without a doubt, the remastered audio on this disc is superior to anything else out there.
It sure would be great if whoever remastered this collection would go back and do the rest of the catalog.
As evident by the other reviews, there are a lot of fabulous tracks that didn't make this compilation. However, the great audio makes this CD certainly worth the purchase.

Ok, this Badfinger compilation isn't perfect, but it's still very good. The songs that are here are a joy to listen to and yes, one could say that it's missing some songs, but on any compilation, I believe that to be the case. No compilation is perfect, there is always going to be something that someone doesn't like. I, however, like this compilation, because what is here is very good and the sound is very good, so I feel it deserves 5 stars, for what it does have. Badfinger is the 1st rock band I ever saw when I was just 14. I had the pleasure of seeing the last living member Joey this summer in concert. Since then I've been wanting to get one of their CD's. The Very Best of Badfinger is a great CD!!! It has all their hits & famous songs. It brought me back to a very happy time in my life.
If you buy the cd you won't be disappointed. I only hope that Joey will be on tour again.
