As musicians the members of Banco are quite talented. The keyboard and guitar work, in particular, are impressive. There are times when the keyboard sound is somewhat reminiscent of ELP but for the most part they establish their own unique sound. Unfortunately, the vocals are just not up to the talents of the rest of the band. The compositions could be a bit stronger as well. Where they come up with interesting instrumental moments it is when the melody, or lack thereof, kicks in that the cuts sound dated and uninteresting. You'd be better off exploring PFM's catalogue before delving into this band's output...Simon
