Its amazing how differnt interpretations can be. I too think adagio for strings is brethtaking, but not because it is sad and sorrowfull. Rather, for me it conveys the sense of triumph over disparity, while maintaining the gravity of both that overcome and the long road ahead. Simply amazing!
