You know in the 90's I was never into the Barenaked Ladies, I took no notice of them when they were over-played on the radio and thought they had a stupid name for a band. Now however with two toddlers around, I decided to get this album when I heard it reveiwed on the Manic Mommies podcast. Now I'm hooked.
It's super silly music that makes the kids dance and is all around entertaining. You can play it over and over in the car or at home and not go crazy(Wiggles anyone?). I also find myself singing along and tapping my toes when the kids are not even around.

People kept buying my kids CDs of inane music that my husband and I couldn't tolerate listening to. Then I found the BNL Snacktime CD. Thank goodness. I confess, sometimes I even play this CD when the kids aren't in the car. They do an amazing job of imitating different musical styles. The lyrics are witty and the tunes are engaging. It's loaded with songs so one time through gives tons of variety. The kids' favorites have changed as they have gotten older, but even before age 2 they loved some of the songs like ninjas and pollywog in the bog.Free Music Review: My Very Picky 3-year-old LOVES this CD!

My son has listened to this CD every day since it was released. He is very choosy about what music he listens to (mostly 60s and 70s pop), and doesn't like a lot of "kids" music. He is also a fan of the NRBQ and They Might Be Giants kids' CDs as well as some Dan Zanes' tunes. If you want a kids' CD that also is fun for adults, particularly BNL fans, like myself, you will be very happy with this CD. My son also loves the 789 and Drawing videos. It would be great if a DVD came out with both cartoon and live-action videos for these songs.Free Music Review: first cd that made my 8 month old smile

so we bought a bunch of cds for our baby, since we think he likes music. he loves the baby einstein lullabies; when they are on, he sleeps. of all the "awake time" music that we have played for him, this is the cd that made him smile as soon as it played. it was amazing. he would listen to others and play quietly with the music in the background but with "snack time" it was smile and sort of dance time. what a delightful and funny cd. parents won't be bored listening either. very entertaining for all. it wears well.Free Music Review: Every family with kids should own this album.

I rarely write reviews, but as I listen to this album with my daughter for the 100th time in the last few weeks I feel compelled to write just how much we enjoy it. Every song is well written and very funny. I couldn't pick a favorite song because they are all so great. What is so nice about this album is that it's just as enjoyable for me and my husband as it is for our daughter.
If you are looking for a kid's album that will not drive you up the wall, this is the one for you!!
