THis CD is such a welcome change from the old standard kids' songs. There are many clever songs that keep my husband and I interested over several listenings in the car. Our kids love it and stay interested in it for the duration of the CD. They frequently ask for a song to be replayed several times. Some of the songs do such a nice job of taking the perspective of a child. The last song on the CD is quite beautiful and we listen to it as a calming moment before going to school.Free Music Review: Perfect birthday gift for any kid

I have to admit that I am a Buffalonian which makes me an 'almost Canadian', so I am a biased BNL fan - but this CD is the best kids music my family has EVER had. The funny dialogue within the songs takes you back to the Gordon days and has you quoting it to your friends at dinner parties like a John Hughes movie. I bought this for my kids at Christmas and now have extra copies for every birthday party my nine and three year olds end up at. This is a great example of a CD that is pleasant, sweet and educational for kids but also has catchy melodies, varying styles, and clever lyrics that parents can enjoy too. We are longtime fans of the band anyway, and this album is quintessial BNL, with silly dialogue on "Crazy ABC's" that is similar to that on "If I had $1,000,000." As a bonus, the celebrity cameos on the track "Snacktime" include the greatest Canadian rockstar ever, Gord Downie from The Tragically Hip.Free Music Review: woohooo!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this new CD.
I am a BNL fan for over 15 years and didn't know about this CD....
I bought it along with a replacement for Born on a Pirate Ship (which also ROCKS!)which my 11 year old lost somewhere....I didn't know it was a kids CD
My 11 year old loves BNL and my 6 year old likes them, but she just LOVES this CD. she bounces around to Drawing and sings along with 789 (among others).
The guys did a great job on this one!!

My two year old and I both love this CD - he asks for certain songs again and again and we haven't gotten tired of it yet. If my other favorite bands (Fountains of Wayne, Cake, etc) would follow BNL's lead and come out with kids CDS, all would be right with the world. BNL has always had pretty kid-friendly music and with this CD, I am hoping to create a lifelong BNL fan in my son since my husband and I both like the band anyway. Buy it, you won't regret it!
