Free Music Review: Great first effort by vocal talent Lisa Guyer

This collaboration by NH vocalist Lisa Guyer and original Boston guitarist Barry Goudreau has much to please the fan of contemporary blues-based rock. Barry's instrumental production is first rate and Lisa is a genuine vocal talent that doesn't disappoint. If I have a criticism of this recording it is that Lisa's voice isn't featured prominently enough in the sometimes too-thickly laid-on instumental production. Therefore it's not quite five stars.
My advice would be to ignore the reviewer below who pretty much pans this effort as just another forgettable sound-the-same. The same as what? Hey, blues comes in many flavors! This recording rewards repeated listening, unlike the true imitators out there, those hordes of blues players trying to borrow from Vaughn. The real blues comes in many flavors. One looking for tightly produced upbeat blues with a beautifully melodic female voice like Lisa's should just take the plunge. I am glad I picked up this disk before reading the last review or I might not have bought it. For shame!
