I liked this CD very nuch but was disappointed to find that what seemed to be the best instrumental track of the film didn't make the cut on the Album. It is when Basquiat (played by actor) rides a bike while smoking... well all who saw the film know that track needed to be included if you know the artist please post it hereFree Music Review: Um...Did You Even SEE The Movie???

If you've actually seen the movie, then you would know that JMB passed away in '87. So, obviously, he had nothing to do with the film or music selection for the soundtrack. That is, of course, unless Julian Schnabel broke out the Quiji Board and had a chat with Jean...who knows....maybe he did......but I doubt that.Free Music Review: Basquiat

I really enjoyed the music from the movie as well as the movie. The movie was very sad in some aspects. I liked the way Basquiat and Warhol formed their friendship after meeting in the restaurant with the postcard sale and then Warhol dying really sad. It's true that it is a wonderful film and that this soundtrack is a great buy, but what I don't understand is how some people claimed to have spoken with Jean-Michel Basquiat when he died some 12 and a 1/2 years ago. I'm simply baffled.Free Music Review: Wonderful movie, Spectacular Soundtrack
