Free Music Notes for Batman Begins [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack]Free Music Review: The Black Knight Returns, with AWESOME music! Hit: 5 Stars
Batman Begins is an awesome score! No, I don't think it's better than Elfman's originals, "although it's a far cry better than Goldenthal's efforts." Batman Begins is an equal effort with Elfman's, and should be respected as a work of art on it's own.
Track 1 Is a deep, thumping, brassy spectacle. Resulting in rushing blood and an urge to do a million pushups.
Track 2 Is a quiet, atmoshperic piece, reminding one of James Newton Howard's previous work for "The Sixth Sense" and "Signs."
Track 3 Starts creepy, and eerie, and ends up loud, percussive, and frightening.
Track 4-6 Are my least favorite tracks of the CD, however, some of the sound effects used are blood chilling, and leave you with respect for the composers.
Tracks 7-12 Are BLISS Changing from heavy brass and creepy sounds, to classical-techno hybrid, to slow, moving drama pieces, "love theme etc."
Do yourself a favor, buy this NOW! :)

Free Music Review: Nice sounding album Hit: 5 Stars
If you're a fan of Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard then you'll enjoy this album. The movie was pretty good, but I was more interested in the music composed for the movie. Each one of these songs is heart throbbing, period. I think you will enjoy this album, particularly because of the design made by Zimmer and Howard. Another movie to compare to would be 'Black Hawk Down' by Zimmer. As usual, his soundtracks are some of the greatest. It seems these days that I listen to soundtracks more than typical music.
I often listen to artists like Andrea Bocelli and music by Zimmer, Howard, Isham, and Goldsmith (to name a few). I can't say enough about this album and am sure you will enjoy it. If you crank up the bass on your sub woofer, you'll experience an amazing throb of bass from the different songs.
You can also compare this album to Zimmer's 'Tears of the Sun', which by the way was also a great movie, including the soundtrack.
Enjoy.
Free Music Review: Haunting & Atmospheric Hit: 5 Stars
I love this soundtrack, a component of a fabulously made film!
Just watching the DVD on how they made and developed each aspect of the movie - the end product shines as a highly credible and 'believable' story. The restraint shown, inspite of the subject's 'fantastical comic book heritage' lends authenticity to the whole piece, the actors, the sets, the performances, are beautifully enhanced by this muscial score.
Bruce Wayne/Batman - the turmoil, discovery of purpose, and resoluteness in following his purpose is cleverly portrayed through each track. This begins to set a recurrent 'anthem' which the audience begins to recognise, and starts the 'spine tingling' in anticipation akin to the OO7 theme striking up in a Bond move - the excitement that something important featuring the central character is about to happen. Can see this score as a crtical part of the armoury that will (and should) be deployed in the following Batman movies.
Free Music Review: Excellent score for an excellent movie Hit: 5 Stars
The score for Batman Begins is not the usual super-hero score. There is not a brassy bold fanfare like the original Batman movie or a main theme filled with wonder like Superman or Spider-Man. It is in many ways an atypical score. First, there are two composers and they are two of the best in Hollywood, Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. One would think that putting these two together would reveal a score that is a mishmash, but the composers do a fine job complimenting one another. The score that they produce is dark, action packed and quietly poignant. I totally enjoyed it. I would certainly have to rate it among my favorite super-hero scores and among the best of the recent scores in the last couple of years. Since I got it about less than a week ago, I have listened to it 10 times, and each time I have enjoyed more of it. Batman has been reborn both visually and musically. I hope the next movie keeps the two together.
Free Music Review: The Bat is back Hit: 5 Stars
Much like Warner Bros. used Christopher Nolan to overhaul the Dark Knight, they have also overhauled the film's score, which thankfully, is unlike anything ever heard in a Batman film. Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard have crafted something that rivals Danny Elfman's classic score, and in many cases even surpasses it. At times, Zimmer seems to be channeling the bombasticness of his King Arthur score, but with collaborating with Howard, Batman Begins' score is unusualy subtle, and it works. A clever use of the disc's score titles (named after different types of bats) is a nice touch, with standouts including "Myotis", "Barbastella", "Macrotus", and "Molossus", while "Tadarida" perfectly captures the atmosphere of the film with some nightmarish pounding and distortion. Just like the film, Warner Bros. really tried to do this right, and just like the film, it succeeds incredibly.
