Free Music Notes for Batman BeginsFree Music Review: Deep hooks Hit: 4 StarsThe first time I saw Batman Begins, I thought the music was cool and well done. The second time, I had to have it. Especially for the amount of writing Zimmer does for Hollywood, he produced an interesting, emotional, evocative acore that reaches in and grabs you. There are similarities to Gladiator and his other work, but it is perfectly suited for the excellent movie. This is the first Batman movie that comes close to being plausible; the emotional warfare that is its real theme is completely and brilliantly evoked by this soundtrack.
Free Music Review: Good Dark Score Hit: 4 StarsJames Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer have produced some fine Batman music. Instead of using heroic themes they have created a dark and brooding score. Here are the tracks.
Vespertillio: The two Batman themes are contained on this track. One is a two-note theme with a good beat in the background. The other one is a creepy and sinister piece of music that is used when Batman stalks his criminal victims.
Eptesicus: This track starts with sad music and alter gives us the music from when Bruce Wayne is training.
Myotis: This starts out slow, but it suddenly goes into an upbeat action theme.
Barbastella: A pretty slow-[aced track. THe last thirty seconds is pretty good, however.
Atribeus: The first two minutes contains music from when Batman beats up Falcone and his gang. The rest is random pieces from other parts of the movie, including something that might be Ra's Al Ghul's theme.
Tadarida: This cool track contains some pretty "interesting" sounds, especially the music that accompanies the fear gas.
Macrotus: The first couple of minutes are emotionally awesome, but the rest of this seven minute track is pretty boring and slow-going.
Antrozus: Here is some music from when Batman goes off to save Gotham City from Ra's Al Ghul.
Nycteris: One of my favorite tracks. It starts off with the theme played while Mr. Fox shows Bruce Wayne some high-tech gear. It then goes into some other cool music.
Molossus: Pretty fast-paced and awesome action music.
Corynorhinus: All of the ending music is played here, including the love and Batman themes.
Lasirus: Pretty slow-paced track that isn't as boring as Macrotus.
Overall, this soundtrack is a good buy, but the slow music sometimes plays too long. Almost every track has a good beat or rythm.
Free Music Review: Good music, but...... Hit: 3 Stars..they left out some of the best parts from the movie!!! Where's the ending score? The music at the ending credits was the best of all. What happened to the music during the scene on the train and the death of Ducard? Had I known this to be the case I would not have purchased it? For the the music itself I give 5 stars, but I have to subtract two stars for the CD and the missing music. I can only hope that there is a future "extended" edition in the works.
Free Music Review: Dark and Delicious! Hit: 5 StarsI suppose that if Danny Elfman's more broadly sketched score is your cup of tea, this might not appeal to you. This is a brooding score that defies any attempt to create a 'hook' or 'leitmotif' that says 'Batman', 'Sgt. Gordon', or 'Scarecrow'. However, like chocolate, this score is hard, dark, and very good.
Free Music Review: HANS ZIMMER IS THE BEST IN THE GAME Hit: 4 StarsFirst of all, hans zimmer is the greatest film composer in the game right now! He compares to JayZ which compares to John willams! THe man who said Hanz Zimmer isnt a composer, is retarted! Im sorry for being honest! I personally saw Mr. Zimmer and Mr.Howard make this production and i believe they did a good job! Liked the movie, liked the soundtrack, but could have been a little better to become 5 stars. Best soundtrack of all times i believe is "GLADITOR"
