Free Music Review: A mix of sounds worthy of composing great Batman soundtrack Hit: 4 StarsFirst I want to mention that I am not a big fan of any certain groups or artists on the album, I simply want to submit a neutral review. This album contains a great mix of different styles of music (from Brandy to The Offspring) that all create a very good Batman sound. When you listen to the songs, you can almost see the movie before your eyes. I liked this recording
Free Music Review: An interesting journey... Hit: 5 StarsThis feels funny 'coz I never listened to Movie Soundtracks and didn't feel they were worth the time. Picked up on an impulse, this record more than changes that attitude.Yes the movie was tedious but this soundtrack is fantastic!! An eclectic mix of moods and genres and with a lot of depth in terms of song quality, this CD is a fascinating listen. U2's Hold Me... kickstarts this album and is one of the most memorable songs from the Irish Rockers in a long time. Brandy (with Lenny Kravitz) and PJ Harvey come up with some great music on tracks 3 and 2 respectively. Seal's kiss from a rose is as smooth as silk. But to me the other standout track (apart from U2) is Massive Attack's "When the Hunter...". Dark moody and with some fantastic singing by Tracy Thorn, this is the CD's highpoint. The Offspring and Nick Cave along with Mazzy Star provide the other interesting moments. All in All a great CD which is worth every cent you pay for it and then some more.
Free Music Review: Great variety - I never tire of this one Hit: 5 StarsOoooh, what a lovely mix of songs. When I first got this, right after the movie came out, I was a foolish little girl and only listened to the first half of the CD. Literally. I turned it off after "Tell Me Now". Then, a few months ago, cleaning out my CD collection, I put this on and let it play all the way through. Thus, I rediscovered a gem of a CD. It has beautiful ballads like Kiss From a Rose, Nobody Lives Without Love (one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard), and Crossing the River. And then you've got some nice bad-a$$ rock - There Is A Light, The Passenger, Hold me..., The Riddler... Ah, the list goes on. Great CD, whatever your mood is. Unknown artists that I'd love to hear more from.
Free Music Review: Wonderful blend of different music Hit: 5 StarsFor anyone who likes a variety of music, this is your CD. It has rock from U2 and The Offspring, rap from Method Man, and even a little Gothic from Nick Cave. All I have to say is this is a great CD. I always listen to it because of the variety of music.
