Free Music Notes for Battlestar Galactica: Season OneFree Music Review: Good Listening! Hit: 5 Stars
I've enjoyed listening to Battlestar Galactica's soundtrack driving to work. The music is remarkably varied and dramatic in its own right. Listening to the CD has piqued my interest to watch the series on TV. I now want to see how the young composer's remarkable talent enhances the action happening on the screen.
I think Bear McCreary's special talents are a wonderful contribution to contemporary music.
Free Music Review: Great soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
I love soundtracks and this is the first time I enjoyed an American TV series soundtrack. Watching BSG I began to notice the music and how it really enhanced what was happening on screen. This soundtrack is impressive and distinctive. Wander my Friends, Kobal Last Gleaming, and A Good Lighter are my favorites.
Most tv series I barely notice the music, this soundtrack brought tears to my eyes.
Free Music Review: Best Soundtrack Ever Hit: 5 Stars
I am an avid collector of movie and TV soundtracks, I have to say, this is one of the best ever I have bought. The music is moving, deep and often quite thought provoking. This is especially so if you have seen the show.
If you are a fan of the series then I strongly suggest you buy this soundtrack. Tracks 24 and 27 are my favourate from Kobol's last gleaming.
Free Music Review: Captures the feel of the show Hit: 5 Stars
Has a great selection of songs from the 1st season. I like show/movie CDs that you can picture the scenes and emotion of the actors when you hear the song. The Celtic underlays are great, and the Taiko drumming style is very well used for building intensity in the music. If you really like the series, you should probably really enjoy the music as well!
Free Music Review: Some VERY good music here Hit: 5 Stars
"Passacaglia" is one of the finest songs I think I have every heard. Ranks up there with Moonlight Sonata and Pachelbel's Canon in D.
The UK version of the main title has got to be one of the finest bits of human vocals ever recorded.
"The Shape of Things to Come" is also a very nice song.
Worth every penny.
