Free Music Notes for Battlestar Galactica: Season TwoFree Music Review: STUNNING!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I really can't add any more to all the praise this album is recieving. All I will say is well done Bear McCreary! You continue to outdo yourself with each season. I congradulate all the tallented musicians and recording team for an outstanding performance! Just as everyone is hanging out for season 3 of this awesome show, I am hanging out to hear what amazing new music Bear will be coming up with. What a gift this man has!
Free Music Review: Choosing Between Season One or Two? Choose Two. Hit: 5 Stars
Although the Season One soundtrack has the wonderful "The Shape of Things to Come", I give the edge to this Season Two soundtrack for being a more cohesive whole. And there are hints of "The Shape of Things to Come" in the Season Two track "A Promise to Return", anyway. So if you're choosing between the soundtracks for Season One or Season Two, I'd suggest Season Two. Of course you'll also want the miniseries soundtrack!
Free Music Review: The best of the bunch Hit: 5 Stars
This soundtrack is in my opinion the most varied and engrossing of all the BSG discs. Not to say the others are bad of course!
The following tracks make it worth the price alone;
Roslin and Adama
Something Dark is Coming
Black Market
Pegasus
The Cylon Prisoner
Prelude to War
I strongly recommend this. Any movie/TV score lover can't go wrong with this.
Free Music Review: battlestar galactica season 2 soundtrack review Hit: 5 Stars
I'd have to say, as far as soundtracks go, Bear M. knows his stuff. You get a kind of walk through in the c.d. sleave, Bear tells you a little about each piece listed on the c.d. and its background, and more importantly the feelings of the characters that each piece was composed for. All in all, i give it an "A+". And a "Well done Sir!" If you are a true fan of this show, this c.d. is a must have!
Free Music Review: Frakking amazing soundtrack for a frakking great series Hit: 5 Stars
Like many other reviewers, I must say this is the best release of the 3 soundtracks available. The CD contains 20+ tracks that are all very moving. I'd recommend Allegro, Martial Law and One Year Later as my favorites scores. The music is very intense and really adds to the drama and movement of the series. For the sheer ammount of tracks on this release, it's more than worth the money.
