Pesma Skin-deep sa svojim klupskim ritmom koja podseca na Herbert otvara album Closer i najavljuje sjajnu atmosferu koji ovaj album donosi. Zatim sledi Pillory- like, koja zvuci kao jedna od pesama koju je Des Ree davno trebala da snimi, ali nikada nije. Goldilocks je pravi modernjazz standard koji je savrsen za neku zurku koja se tek zahuhtava. Onda se lopta neocekivano spusta na zemlju i vodi vas kroz tuzni glas melankolije uz Airing, gde Beady Belle pokazuje autenticnost svoga glasa, a onda pusta lagano ponovo loptu da lebdi u rimu bossa nova kroz pesmu Never Mind uz reci:
" You know better than I
What can make you satisfied
You know better than I
What you really feel inside."
Closer dolazi logicno i nastavlja sa ljubavnim tempom, malo nas podsecajuci na to da je nekada bila pevacica sa imenom Sade. U pesmi Irony Beady ponovo preplice modernjazz i bossa nova, i generalno ovo je najslabija pesma na albumu. Stools And Rules je puna erotskog naboja i Beady Bell najvise sija uz hladan glas koji izgovara:
"What is a present without the wrapping paper?",
i lagano nas dovodi do pesme Tomorrow koja zatvara album, i uz koju cete sanjariti dugo. Beady Belle sa albumom Close obecava mnogo i bas zbog toga ovaj album je neophodan u vasoj kolekciji.
