Free Music Notes for Hello NastyFree Music Review: The Way To Go Out Hit: 5 Stars
Length - 67:18 Unlike my other favorite hip-hop act of the 90s, ATCQ, The Beastie Boys' final studio album wasn't an irritated blend of forced comradery and halfhearted rhymes, it was real, like everything else they stuck their hands in. The rhymes on Hello Nasty might be slightly less colorful than on previous BBoy records, but the beats are ridiculously good. Super Disco Breakin', The Grasshopper Unit, Unite, Remote Control, they're all so ebullient and catchy, making this album an irresistibly fun and enjoyable listen. There are also a number of laid-back, mostly instrumental tracks as well, tinged gently with fey female vocals. Check Song for Junior and Picture This for those tracks. And the lovely ballad, I Don't Know, is one of the nicest songs I've ever heard by The Boys. It's sad to see such an amazing group end their illustrious careers, but at least they did it in their usual awesome, extraordinary fashion.
Free Music Review: CD is as good as their other ones Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is the bomb as are there other ones. I think the Beasties stand above the rest when it comes to rap music. I think rap took a turn for the worst in the last 5 years. Almost everything sounds the same. No one has their own unique style anymore in rap music. The Beastie Boys aren't just rappers. They can rap with the best of them, but they could also play instruments. They can play funk and rock music. I think they're the greatest. I think Def Jam made a big mistake by dropping them many years ago. I bet they wish they never did now because of their success. I think Russel Simmons is a real idiot for cutting them up and never saying he's sorry. The B-Boys are more successful or as equally successful than anyone on Def Jam. Simmons didn't make the Beastie Boys who they are. They were always good musicians and song writers. Thanks for reading this everyone.
Free Music Review: THE BEST BEASTIE CD YET!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
What more can you say about the GREATEST GROUP AROUND!! I have been a Beastie fan for many years. Aside from being the DOPEST group around they also have turned to politics. Adam Y. (MCA) went from Beastie to Buddhist in "93" after a vist to the Himalayas and got involved in the "FREE TIBET" cause. In "96" they started organizing the annual *TIBETION FREEDOM CONCERTS* and have raised alot of money. Since "86" the Beastie Boys have made great music and seem to be the only group who can make the transition from PUNK to HIP-HOP!! Other groups have tried but failed. It has been 4 years since their last GREAT CD *Ill COMMUNICATIONS* and belive me it was definetly worth the wait. *HELLO NASTY* is the best of all. Know one will ever COMPARE to the 3 most BEAUTIFUL MEN!!! THE BEASTIE BOYS!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!
Free Music Review: Oh yeah, oh yeah, the Beasties, the beasties, are BIZACK! Hit: 5 Stars
ah, the Beastie Boys. What an amzing group, what an amazing album. Its rare that few or any groups can accomplish what the beasties have, obtaining a fan base that stretches far and wide into different cultures and into different fan bases. The punk kids, the rappers, the alternative kids, the rockers, they all love the Beasties! Why not, Hello Nasty is the type of amazing able that appeals to all because its so well done. Instead of pumping out garbage, the B-Boys took their time and gave us an album that cries back to the time of circa Paul's Boutique, except this time, they're a much smarter group. Hello Nasty is an album that offers everything! It makes you think, it lets you have fun! You can relax to it, grove to it, dance to it and party to it! So if you haven't already pix this one up!!! Five stars isn't enough for this jewel of an album!
Free Music Review: In my opinion, one of the best albums ever recorded. Hit: 5 Stars
While I have always liked the Beastie Boys I was never what you would call a rabid fan. I only owned one other album when I bought Hello Nasty and all I was expecting was something kind of fun for the morning drive or weekend road trip. This is one of those albums that I love more and more with each successive listening. It's so mercurial in its mix of styles, from one song to the next only the humor, wit and infectious rhythm and beat seem to be the common threads. The seemless blending of rap, techno and old-school funk makes this album energetic with a playful feel. I can see myself still listening to this regularly 10 years from now and honestly think that it is one of the best albums ever recorded. It's not often that I find a CD where I love every single track, but I have to look no further than Hello Nasty for that now.
