This CD makes you very relaxed! My favorite song in this CD is "The Beauty and the Beast"(by Celine Dion & Peabo Bryson). It tingling in my ears for a long time after listening to this soundtrack. In my opinion, the peak of Alan Menken's career, and the last full soundtrack by his amazing partner, Howard Ashman. Every voice is perfectly cast, from Paige O'Hara down to townspeople with only a single line to sing, and they are given excellent music to work with. This soundtrack began the entire Disney animated films combined with amazing music thing. It has been an incredible ride for any Disney fan and the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack has songs that everyone will be singing for days. Highly recommended for any Disney fan! I just re-discovered the movie the other day, and I fell in love all over again. "Be Our Guest" is hilarious, "Gaston" is cute, and the title song is, well, DANG!!!!! My main question is this: Why didn't they write more songs for Robby Benson?Free Music Review: THE soundtrack to own.

This is about as good as sound-tracks ever get. I could listen to this CD forever, from its catchy Broadway-style songs to the openly descriptive score. The sound-tracks to films have always sounded closer to perfection to me, and this is no exception.
