Free Music Notes for Saturday Night Fever: The Original Movie Sound TrackFree Music Review: the best of the era Hit: 5 Stars
Always loved this soundtrack; it was just electrifying and such a great mix of songs. Wasn't that into disco, but loved this stuff. Very danceable and I think every young woman had a crush on the tall BeeGee (can't remember his name, shame on me!).
Was trying to figure out which ones I liked to put on my iPod, but decided there were too many great ones, so it was cheaper just to buy the CD. Happy with my decision!
Free Music Review: Magic Hit: 5 Stars
SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER is great for it's brilliant, classic singles like 'Stayin' Alive', 'Night Fever', 'More Than A Woman', etc. I love these songs because they evoke magical memories of my childhood from the late 70's and because they're so damn good. Some of the other tracks, however, sound like cheesy background music to a 70's T.V. show, but a good half of this album is timeless. What else is there to say? You have to buy it.
Free Music Review: The one disco album you won't mind showing your kids Hit: 5 Stars
I'm not 100% sure why I like this album as much as I do, especially since I have never seen the movie the album is based on. Nevertheless, I find it hooks you in a strange way. There's such a wide variety of artists on this album, and, hey, you can't go wrong with a 10-minute version of Disco Inferno. There are undoubtedly better disco compilation albums out there, but for a good overview, you can't do worse than this.
Free Music Review: Terrific! Hit: 5 Stars
I have to say, this is my favorite CD of ALL TIME! I listen to it everyday and I never get tired of it. All of the Bee Gee's songs are classics as are "If I Can't Have You" by Yvonne Elliman and "Disco Inferno" by The Tramps. Even if you aren't a fan of disco, BUY THIS CD, you won't regret it and I can guarantee you'll be tapping your foot to at least one or more of the songs on it.
Free Music Review: Disco may be dead, but SNF lives on..... Hit: 5 Stars
...an anthem to the 70s, "Saturday Night Fever" is still a guilty pleasure for those who loathed disco. Who can forget young John Travolta strutting his stuff on the flashing floor... from the dreamy "More Than a Woman" to the booming beat of "Staying Alive" "Night Fever" and "You Should Be Dancing." A classic that lives on long after the genre died. Get out your polyester shirts.
